Looks like the rumours about reigning in the spending have been confirmed.

You can tell this is Lawwell. Desmond looked anything but happy.

If it goes * up then Lawwell will never take the blame. He's a sly *. He must think that these past few months we have been scintillating to watch when the opposite has been true: boring, one dimensional, no creativity, no tempo. We can look forward to loans and frees because that's why he appointed NL. "cheap as chips" Lawwell and the fans are once again treated with utter contempt.

Well if he was anything but happy, he should have done something about it, the moustachioed *.

He doesn't get away without criticism.

Sensible appointment, Lennon knows what is required to improve the squad and lead us to 10 in a row. The Celtic fans who want a 'big name' are clueless, we would have ended up with Moyes who could have quite easily made an * of it. This isnt the 'sexy' appointment but it is the right one.

Hope Lawwell resigns and takes a share of responsibility if this fails. *

Can't help but feel so let down on today of all days. Ok we were never getting Rafa or Jose but there was and is plenty of high calibre and more experienced managers that were available and surely willing to come to Celtic.

Yes Lennon stepped up in our hour of need but his teams performances have been nothing short of diabolical. From drawing at home to Livingston and Aberdeen to being humiliated against the zombies. We've had 2 or 3 convincing wins since February and 1 of those results was against a 9 man Aberdeen side.

And if the rumours are true that Lennon wants to bring Hooper back to Celtic in the summer, a guy that's not kicked a ball in anger for nearly 2 years, then we are in for a long and painfully season next year.

I love Lennon to bits but he has had his time and we needed to build on a position of strength and every man and his dog can see that the board have gone for the cheap option which is an absolute disgrace.

Lawwell will have a lot to answer for if this goes sour. I cannot see Lennon being backed in the transfer window either

10IAR is in serious doubt IMO

What I hate hearing is things like
Lennon stepped in, in our hour of need
Lennon came in and saved us when Rodgers left
    Blah blah

    * me he struck gold. He had just been sacked by Hibs! And was asked to take a very well paid job at the team top of the league
    Not exactly hero stuff

We're turning into Arsenal, a club with a board that push club legends in front of fans to deflect any criticism.

If Neil Lennon actually tries to build a team around Scott Brown and bring Gary Hooper back (or Joe Ledley or * maybe Adam Matthews can 'do a job' at right back!) - we won't get past Christmas before seeing 'Lenny/Board Out' banners at games.

You can't put the old band back together.

Honestly that is exactly the thing and something that gets me angry. Because Lennon does not deserve this. He is a club legend, a fantastic man who defeated a lot of * in his life. He does not deserve to get his reputation ruined for taking a job out of his depth, with a * squad, with no funds for transfers and go from what it is now to the guy who stopped our 10 in a row.
