The way some idiots on here are talking you'd think we were playing amazing up until Lennon took over from Rodgers. The truth is we have been fairly poor all season, in fact Lenny got us over the line in many games where Rodgers (this season) may not have. We need new players not a new manager, Neil Lennon is far better than most of the candidates for the job unless you seriously think the likes of Benitez and Mourinho were going to take the job.

And if we buy VVD and Vic we might just manage it.

Exactly, we were playing * all season under Rodgers. Rodgers saw the writing on the wall in my opinion. I look forward to playing 2 strikers again up top.

It was stodgy at times but we were still scoring more goals under Rodgers though, so let’s not try to revise opinion that Lennon is a better manager than Rodgers, because he’s not, that is a fact. And until the likes of yourself realise that, then maybe we’d be able to aim a bit higher as a club. And besides, I’d have a * of a lot more confidence in young lads like Micky Johnston and co developing better under a coach with youth development expertise that Rodgers has than Lennon.

Rodgers methods were a bit sticky towards the end but there was sure as * more ideas going on there than the brain addled stuff we’ve seen under Lennon.

And don’t give me all this ‘its not his team’. A good workman doesn’t blame his tools.

Aw mate shoosh. You said he wasn’t a striker then he goes and wins the treble treble for us. So shut up.

Apparently the majority wanted Lennon in too. Seems like it right enough.

Benitez and Mourinho were pie in the sky stuff. 2 managers that their annual salary would be the same as our player budget if we signed one of them. Benitez reportedly on £6M a year !!
I will admit Lenny is not my choice, the game has moved on since he last managed us, Rodgers has shown us that, However, next season we are chasing 9 then 10, if you think this year was bad with the Huns and Slippy putting pressure on the Refs, constant whining etc then next season is going to be worse. It will be a battle so maybe, just maybe Lenny will be the right man. But it will only work if he is backed with a substantial transfer budget to over hall the squad. No more projects, no more one dimensional football with no plan B. Just get the job done.

No the truth is we had 9 wins in a row domestically: 26 scored, 1 conceded. The 1 was an unsportsmanlike goal from Motherwell. We also went toe to toe with Valencia away from home in one of the finest away Euro performances I can remember from a Celtic team.

We ABSOLUTELY without a shadow of a doubt have regressed massively under Lennon.

Not great, but are you actually seriously suggesting Lennon did better overall as Celtic manager than Rodgers? I’d pity anyone who does...

The revisionism is strong on those who are arguing that we are better under Lennon than Rodgers.

In fact, it’s not revisionism, it’s utter delusion.

Are you a bit dense? Because if you wanted me to 'shoosh':)52:) you wouldn't keep quoting me! He doesn't play like an out and out striker, that's not controversial. He wasn't arsed today and won us the cup, that shows us his quality, which I have never once questioned.
