Don't get the love for AVB at all.

I hope for Cocu, would be happy enough with Clarke, fully expect Moyes.

Gerry Adams is a shoe-in for the job he would have Forrest and Sinclair bombing up the wings.

    Realistic candidates...in order preference...
    Moyes
    Clarke
    strachan
    Lennon

All have a Celtic connection 3/4 of have EPL experience.
I wouldn't mind Strachan, boring but effective football and a steady head in a difficult two years ahead.
Clarke got a bit emotionally compromised, good coach but will he handle two years of relentless emotional abuse?

    My case for Moyes...
Moyes has got a unfair bad rep since Man Utd..it's Scottish football he will stroll it up here with the experience he has.

What did o Neill and Strachan achieve in England before here? Not too much, hence why Moyes might not be a bad a choice as people think. More so...he has a point to prove, much like Rodgers did when he came here.

Again these are the realistic candidates and I honestly think we will play it safe and appoint one of these .
A foreign coach like benitez and murinho would realistically be taking a massive step down, not by club, but by league quality . Would be an amazing coup but realistically I don't think board will sanction it.

Unfair? He was * at Sociedad, * at Sunderland and * at West Ham.

I couldn't care less if our next manager has any connection with the club or not. Wim Jansen didn't. Martin O'Neill didn't, openly admits to being a Sunderland supporter growing up. Just get a class coach in, back them, and strike fear in the rest of the league.

Who ever the new manager is we need to act quickly. The Monday after cup final day would be my choice. We have a team to rebuild, the players as well as the support need to know asap , CL qualifiers will be upon us soon I really do hope the board are not dithering over this. Lenny is not for me to take us forward however if it is we need an announcement sooner rather than later otherwise it is going to be a long summer

They're not the only realistic candidates, and we don't need our manager to have a Celtic connection.

Any of those 4 would be utterly depressing.

    * me, if that is the only realistic targets and the height of some of our fans ambition.

1st year undr Rodgers, amazing. Next two, drab as *.
    Lennon continues that drab style.

Lennon at the end of his first tenure, drab as *.
Strachan throughout his entire tenure, drab as *.
    Moyes, drab tae *.
Clarke - the only one there can be any argument against drab as *, and he wouldn't even be on my list of candidates.

Rather burn £500 and ram a * up my * every weekend than watch some of the football that would come out of those sort of managers.

I still think Clarke would be a great 'safe' option and I don't think the football would be anywhere near what he plays at Kilmarnock. He is very much a realist which, after Rodgers' dogmatic idealism, might not be a bad thing.

I genuinely don't think he is interested though.

    Aiming high ffs.
Similar posts would have been made before we appointed Rodgers.
I’m expecting someone far more suitable than these 4.

Moyes wasn't * at West Ham mate he is well thought of by the fans. Took over when they were bottom and managed to finish mid table, saved a sinking ship there, got some big wins.

Benitez is pie in the sky stuff. He is only at Newcastle because he wanted to be in the PL again. He took the job in the Championship with that in mind. He is hardly coming to Scotland to spend £2 million on an unknown striker from Slovakia or get a youngster from PSG. It isn't going to happen.

I am actually edging towards Moyes. He could be a Strachan type appointment. I remember wee Gordon wasn't a very popular appointment and the footy wasn't all that great but I always supported him. Moyes was brilliant at Everton. He did well at West Ham but they are a self entitled lot. Sunderland are a basket case. Sociedad was just a bad career choice. He was never going to be a success at Utd and they are still chasing the glory years of Fergie. We could do a lot worse. Certain parallels too- MON was unbelievably successful with top players and was veryy hard to replace. BR was incredibly successful and will be hard to replace. Moyes would be a good shout for me. His confidence seems low. What better way to get his mojo back.
