You're being deliberately obtuse - not for the first time.

Without the three points in Perth, we would not have secured the title last week.

For the hard of understanding, those three points are no more or less important than any other point secured this season: my point is merely that Weah made a material contribution to our title win, and that he deserved to leave in a dignified manner, with our gratitude - a crazy idea, I know.

I'm being "deliberately obtuse " :56:. So we have finally got around to the point he has scored for us this season. Along with another 20 odd players including Lustig, Jozo, Boyata etc but when they have been criticised on here you haven't been so quick to jump about going on about respect and dignity but aye this has nothing to do with your agenda :56:

We have let far bigger players in our history leave without getting the right send off. Big Sutton and Hartson springs to mind straight away. It’s called football it happens, but naw it’s all Lennon’s fault along with everything else.

    Farewell Timo :shamrock:

He and Burke really gave the team a much needed boost and a freshness after the winter break.

He took to the club instantly and had a good relationship with the fans so it just seems very poor on our part not to let him stick around for trophy day as he’s definitely played his part.

Neil Lennon told Timo Weah to pack his bags after the PSG kid snubbed the Scottish Cup Final.

The 19-year-old’s loan move has come to an abrupt end after the USA attacker was called up for the Under 20 World Cup in Poland.

Record Sport understands Lennon managed to broker a deal with American boss Tab Ramos that would have freed up the forward for Hampden.

Weah would have linked up with the US squad then returned to Celtic to prepare for the final before then rejoining the international set-up.

But Weah refused the offer and insisted he wanted stay with his national team - prompting Lennon to call time on the youngster’s stay.

The striker was in the squad for Sunday’s Old Firm clash but instead was told to leave immediately

Weah said: “The gaffer told me it is in the best interest of the team that I collect my things and go home.

It was a true honour playing for this club and also having the opportunity to interact with legends who paved the way for us.

“I am especially thankful to the Celtic family for giving me the opportunity to show you all what I am capable of doing once given the chance.

To you the fans, I will never forget you for all the love, support and kindness you have shown me.

“I don’t know as yet what the future holds but I wish to one day come back to this great club to be with you all.

I will forever miss you chanting my name and hearing the beautiful song you have created for me.”

Weah made an immediate impact after his January arrival from PSG with two goals in his first two games.

But he struggled to get games following the departure of Brendan Rodgers and the Cup Final blow proved to be the end of the road for the loan star.

Correct decission imo , he put under 20s international before the club's need ,and put pressure on edouard as the main striker with little cover ,he made his choice despite all the fan panderings about his love for the club ,it shows Lennon will do wot he has to for the betterment of the club no matter who the player is .

Erm, hate to be the bearer of bad news but aye we would ya daft *. :56: We only needed a point at Pittodrie to secure the title, if we had drawn in Perth we would have needed all 3 points at Pittodrie, which we got....

You also said (in a few posts) that Lenny has left him out of the match day squad 'numerous times'...

Lennon has included him in every match day squad he's been available for. :84:

He's only missed one match day squad since joining with a back injury.

Think he could be a wee star in the future, wasn't consistent with us but when he was good he was very good.
