I like a mix, think that’s what he’s trying to bring in. Like the likes of the ball McGregor played for Lustig’s goal on the weekend.

A mix is absolutely fine. That Lustig goal was beautiful.

But in previous games there hasn't been the same thinking and intelligence with our crosses into the box. It's been more of a case of give the ball to Hayes out wide, leather a ball towards the box, oh look nobody in the box can win a header, out for a throw in/corner.

Just need to be smarter about it.

Aye I see what you mean, and I can definitely see Lenny's more realistic approach working better in Europe.

Think it takes time to get ideas across. Rodgers had been training with us for a while when Lincoln Red Imps beat us because our players were trying to adapt to what he wanted (and Efe’s a mong), we were tough and scrappy on those qualifiers and at the start of that season. You can pinpoint the exact moment it changed and it clicked... Scott Sinclair coming in.

We’re still * reeling and trying to just grind out and change bit by bit. Has disjointed performances all over the shot and just clicking sometimes.

Some amount of patronising going on here, laughing at folk for saying they'd prefer Lenny as if he's a total failure. He was quite successful with us, won away in Europe, first time in ages and in Russia too. Produced one of our greatest ever wins against possible the best team in the world two weeks after being 1 second away from taking points off them in their own ground.

Now he's come in to replace possibly a world top 10 manager with 4/5 months to play and absolutely essential we win the title so he's got no time to get into it deeply. He doesn't lose a game while clinching the title, job done.

    Plus everything Broony said above.

    What is laughable about that?

It's more hilarious thinking Mourinho is not only going to attract players but he's going to attract them with a £20m budget while they refuse £100k a week offers from other clubs. I guarantee Godin will get offered that in the summer at the very least.

    * maniacs.

Hahahhahahaha I think what folk mean is we can attract players the same.ilk as odsonne or weah or dembele benkovic or paddy Robert's bright players who have potential that's more what is meant not that we are gonna go and try get players like.godin hahaha

Find a manager that suits the players we have and plays the same style that’s made us so dominant the past few years.

So far Lennon doesn’t look like he’s suited to this group of players given the tactical changes he’s made. I’d rather we found someone who is more suited to our players than to find players that are suited to Lennon’s style.

Where did anyone suggest we'd be in the market for world class players?

Lenno's had a pretty interesting football education.
Although he started at Man City, it was Crewe where he first gained his reputation as a promising player.
Crewe now obviously embroiled in all kind of horrible allegations, did back in the day have another reputation. For producing fine talented players/teams, who mimicked the Ajax model of playing through the thirds. Signing for Leicester and then Celtic under Mon, brought huge success through a more direct style.

And I would say Lenno likes a mix of both. He's no John Beck P/Egil Olson nor is he Pep/BR. I've listened to podcasts where he critiques 'sanitised' academy football. He's a pragmatist, who wants his team to play when it's on, not just for the sake of it. Above all he's a winner, as this week has shown.

Obviously other managers might have better qualities, but let the guy just enjoy his week after securing another title for us all.

Really don’t know which route we should go down next season, it’s one of the most important in our history this next appointment, if not the most important. I just hope the guys at the top get it right!

Maybe you take a dose of your advice and let Lenno enjoy it. I can’t see why you’d angle the abuse at Crewe to a connection of our domestic domination. Very strange to tip your hat to that.

At this stage Lennon is the ONLY realistic candidate who can help us.

Mourinhos and Benitez's are pipe dreams imo.

Out if the other "realistic" candidates Lenny is the only one I actually trust.

I dont think its a step in the right direction for us, a definate side step, but NOT a step back.

HOWEVER... if what we read is true, and Lenny wants Izzy to stay... hes rather aware that NO MONEY is there for either the rebuild we need or that position... oe hes lost his * marbles.

We're not looking too good for the summer here ladies and gents... not too good at all.
