Sick of players using us as a steppingstone though.
Iniesta isn’t gonna want to do the dirty work from what I remember of him, so someone else would be left doing his defending.

Whether its fan "sanctioned" or not, the board and lawell will be activley looking for an excuse to give the job to lenny.

The criteria will be delivering the treble. If he gets a result at ipox it will be the icing on the cake and used (rightly so) as a testament to his motivational prowess.

    I dont want lennon.

Its not that i dont rate him or think he isnt good enough. Its just that weve been there, weve set higher standards for the past three seasons and appointing lenny will fracture the fan base. Some defending his appointment to the hilt, others seeing it as a step backwards.

Whatever the outcome, do not expect a "big name", certainly not in the mould of the snake, benitez, rose etc.

The appointment will be middle of the road, experienced and semi respected. And of course... "celtic minded". The excuse will be levelled that the snake was a "fan"... and he * us... how much trust could be afforded to a non fan with a similar profile.

But if course, trust has nothing to do with it. Control is a more apt term. How well cam the next manager be controlled.

Lenny ticks all the boxes for the board. Succussful, passionate, devoted, a fan favorite, already in the job, respected by the players... and of course... easily controllable, especially given that this is his second turn at his dream job.

This is more a case of lenny justifying his appointment rather than winning it.

Originally wanted Moyes before the Rat came. Getting to the point I can't stand him, with interviews like that. *

So Wagner is off to Schalke, he would have devisive but he would have an been a decent shout.

This is all leading to Lennon being given the job, not my first choice by any stretch but it seems clear he's getting it so he'll have my full support.

What I continue to find * stupid though is the board holding off on announcing Lennon, if it's anybody else, fine I understand the wait, but if Lennon ends up with the job which is increasingly likely just * announce it and be done with all this media bullshit.

Unfortunately thats what we are now, a stepping stone, unless you are a die hard celtic fan coming through the ranks then there is little hope of someone coming in and staying the best years of their careers.

I agree, I love Lennon but he is not the man to take us forward, but the board are going * the fans once again.

They will use the cheap option, they will come out with, Lennon is the right man for the job because he knows us, he done well coming back in a time if need, going with an unknown was not an option ect

He will be handed a 1 year rolling contract once again and they will be laughing all the way to bonus vill once again.

We didn't even go top until nearly Christmas, IMHO overall results have not got worse under Lenny unless you compare it, as people seem to be doing, with that one run Rodgers had in November and December and not the season overall. Add to that that he has a totally different style from Brendan Rodgers, can't implement that change overnight without jeopardising the treble and has to work with Brendan Rodgers' players and without half the coaching staff that Brendan Rodgers took with him when he * off. KT isn't properly fit. Rogic isn't properly fit. Christie is injured, he hasn't even had a single window or a single break to work with the squad on his style...

It's far too easy to blame Lenny for a slight drop in form if there even was one (which is frankly debatable). People need to have a proper debate about this and stop assuming that the easy story is the right one.

It isn't debatable, in the slightest. We had won 7 games in a row since the winter break, scoring what, 18 goals or something? Since Lenny took over we've won 5 out of 8 league games and scored 8 goals. We can debate how and why that's happened, but that's another story.

Our form has dipped. To suggest otherwise is nonsense.

Can't see him leaving PSV for us. Better players, better league. Wouldn't make sense.

From October till he left Rodgers had 2 draws and 2 losses in the league. So nobody’s only comparing November and December. Rodgers run from the break onwards was also without Tierney, Rogic, a lot of it without Edouard, Lustig, Forrest and McGregor we’re also rested at times. So your points aren’t valid at all.

There’s enough staff there and the players have been playing Rodgers system long enough that it’s not just going to stop working as soon as he leaves. Lennon has made changes and it’s not for the better as we have dipped, it’s there for all to see. 3 draws and two games saved by late goals, where credit goes to the players. The only place he’s excelling is the Scottish Cup.
