I don't feel comfortable with all the nasty talk about Brendan. People are turning on him without being in full knowledge of the facts. He can't come out and tell us what is going on anymore than any previous manager could. They're bound by confidentiality clauses etc. I won't turn on him. I don't think that he's doing this for money as a triple treble and 10 in a row would have written his ticket anywhere. I'm disappointed that he's departing in this way as I can only assume relationships between him and the board have become catastrophic. I will still remember him as a humble decent guy who did a lot for cancer charities. He may very well have taken us as far as he was capable. We may have just been another stepping stone in his career but I doubt it. No I wont be disrespectful. I liked him and I'm sorry that he's going.

 

Hope his next jobby is a jaggy one... Hope his supposed Celtic loving family disown him, hope all his housing investments crumble and he is broke, and he ends up managing an * Sunday league team.

Without the actions of the board, this scenario doesnt happen. The root cause is the conduct of the board. Yes it wouldnt be in good taste for BR to go now, but the board have failed to match his ambitions. He was always going to go back to england at some stage but the evident rift with Lawell has accelerated that.
Its nonsense to say that its Rodgers fault if we decline from here. It could have easily have happened once lennon left and we did regress notibly under Deila.
I mean we have even regressed this season under Rodgers so you are completley missing the bigger picture.
