I thought it was amazing when Leicester won the league. As a neutral I was hoping they would do it.

Since then I've really gone off them. The players downed tools and got Ranieri the sack.

They've since sold key players and somehow still think they deserve to be a top team. It was a once in a lifetime fluke that has turned a little happy club into a deluded club.

You don’t think we performed well overall in the 180???
Did you watch the second tie, & to be honest I thought we started the first game well until the stray passes, panic set in & defensive howlers.

It's been largely ignored because of the helicopter crash, however even by EPL standards they have been incredibly trigger happy when it comes to getting rid of managers though. Yesterday's result was shocking but they have been waiting for an excuse to get rid of Puel almost as long as he has been there. Then you can go back to the sacking Pearson after he defied the odds to keep them up to sacking Ranieiri after winning the league and even Shakespeare. Considering they have won the league within the last couple of years their turnover of managers is pretty ridiculous. Whoever takes over there is probably best thinking about what their next job will be before they settle in too much.

No doubt that Rodgers name will be mentioned in some capacity for the Leicester job.

See him staying for the 10 though. He has to.

Taken as a collective - no. Not that there wasn’t spells over 180 minutes where we played quite well

The tie was over after the first leg for me, and judging our performance over the full 180 minutes, I would say we were poor.

Was on Spl extra on bT. Sutton tried to put him in his place but he just kept speaking over him. Its a corrosive lie and he knows what he's doing.

Just can't see Rodgers ever going to Leicester. They deserved their title but since then every club in the top 6 has massively spent to ensure that nothing like that happens again. When you look at the money Everton have thrown at the top 6 and are no closer to breaking it I'd be very surprised if Rodgers thought going there would be a good career move. getting them 7th and even winning a cup won't put you in the thinking of these top clubs who can go for any top manager in Europe

You’d need to be a Hun or a complete * to what BR to leave the club.

I could easily see him going to Leicester tbh if it's in the summer but not now, Chelsea would be interested too.

My only worry about BR leaving is the amount of 6 month loan deals we got in.
Half the team leave in the summer and we struggle getting players in during a normal window.....not sure BR will fancy it.

Can’t see Chelsea being interested. And he won’t take the Leicester job.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. I thought we were excellent 2nd game before the sending off & looked as if we could get something. Considering the opposition I was very impressed by our display even after the sending off, which was a very pooor decision.

Second tie, The players gave their all & were a credit to us.

Aye cause contracts mean so much eh....no one in football ever walks away and no compensation is ever paid.

I just think its strange that so many loan deals were only till the summer.....6 players out in the summer.....that is a bit of a * mess.

He was asked about the Leicester job before today's game and his response was some waffle about 'only focusing on the game'.

For Celtic being his "dream job", he seems incapable of actually committing to it.

He committed to us already. Any variation on his answer just feeds speculation.

His refusal to rule out Leicester is fueling speculation. His approach is non-committal.

If he wants to stay for 10, he could say so. But he doesn't.

BR: It was a very good win. The players were very good and had good control of the game. They showed their guts and spirit after Motherwell's goal. We focused and ended up scoring top class goals after that. Huge credit to the players."

BR on Motherwell's goal: "I'm disappointed for my players, we've kept clean sheets this year and that's a goal that goes against our work, and the ethics of the game. That's what's disappointing. Motherwell had the chance to do something about it but decided not to."

BR on Ewan Henderson: "I thought he was tremendous. Delighted he got man of the match. He showed his poise, his control and he was a joy to watch. He played with real maturity in the game so I'm delighted for him."

    BR on
    @ryanchristie2
: "He looked like he tweaked his hamstring so we'll just have to see what the scan says."
