10 inarow is more important than anything, if you think any old manager can come in and do that your wrongly mistaken.
Huns have spent even more money and brought in Gerrard too to try and halt us.

Aye it was as a bitterly disappointing performance, I’m not shying away from that.. but we had being playing so well domestically that the team mostly picked itself.. the players need to take a share of the blame too.

I know he said excluding qualifiers, but arguably they are more important.

Yeah the players did themselves no favours, but playing Burke up front when he's been shoehorned there for 6 games, Édouard on the bench, Izzaguirre just not fit enough for that level (Hayes untested but at least athletic enough to play LB), and this obsession with playing the ball out from the back when that's where are worst footballers are is down to Rodgers.

The players simply bottled it, which has happened before unfortunately.

Its time we accepted that group stages is our level and even then we will get wrecked by some teams.
So many players come to celtic to play in europe then do not turn up on the night.

If including them it should only include the final qualifying round. Sure it's important to beat team like Cliftonville but I wouldn't be handing out any massive kudos for doing so.

Well Hesselink, Hooper, Wanyama, Ledley even guys like Robson & McDonald, they could all mix their game up and adapt from attacking passing play domestically to hard graft, backs to the wall stuff in Europe. We must get a plan B to stand any chance against good European sides, it's imperative. We won't outplay them, for Rodgers to think he can is at best naive at worst plain stupid. If he genuinely thinks he can then he better pull his finger out with the recruitment because its dogshit.

We need a striker that can hold the ball up and win his share of physical battles, midfielders that can offer some fight and maybe most importantly defenders that can actually defend. If we had that last night we could have started to pin them back and build from there, with the crowd behind us thats how we get our big results in Europe. It would also stop the embarrassment of getting walked all over domestically when teams decide to turn things in to a battle.

But like you say Rodgers will probably never shift from his stance and we will continue see games where we go down with a complete whimper.

A triple treble will soften the European blow.

In terms of the financial revenue qualifying brings, they are. Regardless of poor performances, I don't think we should underestimate just how tough both CL groups have been, under Rodgers.

It definitely will but the two don't need to be mutually exclusive and I'm sure Brendan would agree. We are talking about getting rings ran around us in Europe here and a worrying trend domestically of players and teams taking absolute liberties with our players and us having no fight back I.e Naismith when Hearts pumped us and the entire Sevco team making us look like mugs. It needs to be addressed.

Aye but a bit of perspective is needed, we got out of a very tough group maybe with a little luck but we still progressed at Leipzig’s expense.

I’m not shying away from our performance last night or BRs frustrating tactical inflexibility in Europe.. it is frustrating but as usual some of the reaction is well over the top(not from you btw)..

We will put The Huns and The Wee Huns in their place again very soon.

The lack of fight in our team and bottlers has definitely been a concern for a long while now..

Player's have been allowed and aren't scared of writing our player's off big time. Player's were trying to finish Broony last season and we had no one really in amongst it and Naismith is another prime example. Wee gimps like that should be fearful of getting a bad one after what he/they've been up to in the last two season's particularly..

We should aim to get through the CL qualifiers.
This year, we should have. We have a better team that AEK, who were a very average side.
European Football after christmas seems to be the height of what we can achieve.

Brown, our captain, had no composure on the ball. And hes probably the one who sees the most of the ball.

On the contrary, i feel they will be stronger next season and now have a group of players who can compete with us.
The last game vs them was the first time in a long time that they have dominated the middle of the park vs us. Whatever you want to believe the gap is now closer because we have stagnated and they have added more to their squad.

They dominated the middle because of the players we had out or played out of position.

Hard to know about next season but they have a lot of loans and if we were making permanent signings like Jones and the lad from Dundee I’d very worried. They will punt Morelos too..
