The players shat it, the passing tonight was abysmal also sideways backwards is alright if you have a lead not worth a * when you're 2nil down

Rodgers signed the players. He gave Jozo a new deal and is desperate for Boyata to sign a new one.

The longer people give Rodgers excuses for embarrassments like tonight the more it will keep happening.

Definitely has to take the blame for tonight, we couldn't get up the park because their 2 up front could shut down our 4 man defence too easily and caused us to rush and gamble and we kept having to pass it across 1 man at a time.

Was brutal to watch and it could only have been fixed by going 3 at the back so the 2 strikers couldn't actively close down the defence but it never happened.

Great point, especially given the pressing game he is advocating. Yes tonight was a * show from the beginning, but there are glaring issues at our club at present.

Honestly mate I had to check a few time's that I wasn't getting it wrong..

Absolutely astonishing we had no centre mid in a knockout European tie when we play a midfield central trio..

    Only us......

Are you for fkn real!? Look at the budget he has been given for a cb. £1M for compper and £1.2 on hendry. You get what you pay for pal. No wonder he took aa lend on benkovic. Tell me who you would replace boyata or simonovic with between the budget of £1M-£1.2M!?

I don’t know why anyone is surprised. Brenadan is very poor at setting teams up against superior opposition.

It just comes with him and we have to accept that if we want to enjoy the unprecedented domestic success.

Probably next year we’ll have Clarke, which will make us less stellar domestically, but he will set us up to be tough to beat in these games.

    Swings and roundabouts.

Can’t account for how sloppy his players were the night.

Europe is a stain in his tenure.

Still love him. Can’t blame him for playing our own game. We literally play attacking football in every game domestically. To change our identity in Europe would probably end up with us losing even more goals. Especially at home in Europe

Same with when we play smaller teams in the league. We eventually break them down. But when teams have a go against us sometimes ie Hibs it can work

The thing is though we've seen this countless times under Brendan's watch, we actually looked timid and clueless, yet again we make it so easy for the opposition.

I can accept losing games, but it's the manner in which we lose them, this is our 3rd season in Europe under Brendan and we're no further on, it's the same mistakes over and over.

I've actually got to the stage now where i don't look forward to our European games.

He can account for doing * all about it though, it’s consistent this pish we are watching in Europe. And Brendan is sitting watching exactly the same thing yet nothing changes. It is getting tiresome watching us turned over so easily.

He's asking players to play to a level they're not capable of.

Philosophies are all good and well if we have our strongest XI available. Good management is about finding a way to win when you're up against it.

We look further away from it now than we did in Rodgers first season.
