We need to be attacking, when we sit in we are * *, no outball to get up the pitch till Edouard came on then we created a few changes with link up with CM.

In a year we have gone from beating them 5-1 to a game were we could have lost 5-0.....there are to many players in that team who are past their sell by date and need to be dropped from the first 11 and used only as subs in spl games or cup games at home.
If we do not spend big and buy some propper replacements then we could be struggling to win this year.
BR has been found out and team know all they have to do is press our defence and keeper and we will be *.....we are lucky that most spl team are so bad they cant do this effectively enough....tough times ahead if our big signing this window is a 18 year old loan for 6 months.

Should've started with McGregor in the middle. Then should have moved him there at HT when it wasn't working, nightmare all round. I know * was awful but Ralston was the wrong sub when we only had 1 left after that.

Leipzig didn’t press us in the same way Salzburg or even the Huns did today.

    There is a serious issue.

Defenders receive ball, either pass the ball out or to opposition player. Or ball is played back to Gordon who lumps the ball out of play or up the park where we lose it because we don’t have big physical players.

I’ve seen that type of car crash play far too many times this season.

Back then, the playing field was slightly more level. We should be out of sight of these *.

Desperate for our manager to come out fighting after a performance like that in this game but didn't expect him to. Not too up when we're winning & not too down when things are against us which in general is a good thing & I suspect that's his style in the dressing room BUT sometimes, for me he needs to show a bit more passion and let players know they're not pulling their weight. A few choice words and some aggression wouldn't go amiss at times like this.

The only thing I can't understand about him is his persistence to play it out from the back EVERY time. Once we realise the opposition is pressing us and Gordon and Boyata are making the mistakes they always do with their passing, he should be telling them to just punt it. Puts far too much pressure on us and spurs the other team and their fans on.

It may be a different story if we had a GK and CB that can pass the ball like a professional player should but we've not. That's not their strengths.

Yep. Sometimes it's not all about tactics and such. Sometimes players just need their arses kicked. Even Fergie knew that hence Beckham getting a hairdryer in the coupon.

You can't seriously compare that Hun team with this one. There was real quality in that team. Today we were outclassed by a team of journeymen.

The obsession with passing around at the back will remain an ulcer on the team until BR finally sees sense and does away with it. We get no benefit from it that i can make out but we constantly get ourselves in trouble. It helps no-one but the opposition as far as i can tell. We have to be more adaptable to the ways of Scottish football and part of that means not being afraid to clear the ball if needs be.

Dunno if outclassed is the right word. Out-fought. Out-muscled. Out-worked. Certainly. Not like they were spraying the ball about like Guardiola's Barca though. Their model is basic British old-style football. That said, we could actually use some of it at times.

Personally the manager and this current squad have come to an end. Something needs to change in either department

Outclassed too, mate. Their passing was better than ours. We created almost nothing in 90 minutes. The fact that they were hardly spraying it about like Barcelona just underlines how bad we were.

Spot on. Completely infulences the way the game goes. We let Aberdeen back into the game on Boxing Day and we let Rangers dominate from the word go today because of it.

Gordon’s incapable of playing the ball from the back comfortably and safely, Boyata and Lustig aint good at doing it either.

It’s actually pretty embarrassing for a manager who persists on that style yet 3 seasons into the job he doesn’t have the players to play his style.

I agree but when we were eventually forced to go long it just came straight back at us as we have wee guys in forward areas. We either need to add players up top with a presence or we need to add players at the back who are more comfortable on the ball, that includes the GK. Preferably we would do both. I would note that I think the movement of the midfielders in giving an option to the defenders is shocking as well.

    This

and it needs to be rectified now. For the way we want to play we've got the worst possible personnel to execute it. Lustig, Gordon and Boyata are asked to play their way out of trouble at the back and none of them are comfortable on the ball. It's suicidal and Brendan's had nearly three years to fix it.

Anytime we play a team who press well we look panicked and puzzled. It doesn't take a great team like Salzburg to do it. Hibs have done it, Kilmarnock and Hearts have done it and now the huns have finally managed it. We can't allow this to continue into the 2nd half of the season

Even if it meant playing Hayes LB. McGreggor should have been in the middle. Wasted.

Didn’t even feel like we were playing them. He instills no heart or passion in the players.

Rangers are so average on paper but they have bottle, we don’t. We should be streets ahead of them. Sickening giving them this belief they are a good side.
