"Raging Alan Thompson"

Thommo has been brilliant for us over the years. When he plays on the left he always delivers but he is not a central midfielder, that is the problem and that is why he has lost his form over the last few months.

 

check the date i put, the 11/03 2004. i think ull find that that game ended 1-0 at park head and it was Alan Thomson who scored it, my facts r rite, so u check urs, i was there at both home games. ur entitled 2 ur own opinion about thommo, and i have watched the bhoys over the past year so i no that it wasnt just thommo that had a poor season, tbh i think last season was petrov's poorest and im a big petrov fan so dont like slagging him. (not intended 2 offend, neither was my first post just a difference of opinion)

i disagree mate cos thompson does not like playing on the right,he has come out publicly and said his prefered position is in the centre so its not that reason it is just that he has been playing *,its all one supporting your TEAM through and through but when a individual has been playing below par 4 to long it needs to b adressed.

 

Not disagreeing with you, but can I ask where you heard/read this? I've never seen it before.

 

no ive never seen it before either i always thought he was happiest on the left, not the centre, clearly reflected in his better performances for us.

 

He has stated before that his prefered position is in the middle, but he is much better on the left. Hope he plays there on Saturday.

 

Yeah, I dont feel the middle is where he should be, the left is where hes best in my view

 

Put THOMPSON in the middle 2 start with+leave Nakamura in the left position,if he is not up too scratch move him too the left+put naka in middle see what he can do there cause i think anywere u put Naka he would be great anywhere,

Naka is a play maker, also he is comfortable with both feet unlike most, why would you sacrafice him to the left when he can do so much damage? Thompson will give 100% committement and is deadly from set plays but I question his ability to create from open play.NAKA MIDDLE/THOMO LEFT !

 

Put Nakamura on the pitch and let him decide where to roam to perform his magic! I would rather see us play a 3-5-2 with Bobo,Virgo and McManus at the back and Thompson and Telfer as wingbacks!

 

Let's hope he's still angry. Rangers will give plenty of free kicks away tomorrow - nothing surer. Hit them hard Thompson, and I'll stop whining about you (until just before the next OFG)

 

it will be a gd game, just hope Thommo and lenny will keep it cool and not get really angry, we need all 11 players on the pitch especially if the ref is more infavor of rangers, (it can happen!) for me the best thing that could happen 2morro would be for my bhoy lenny 2 score, not even acknowledge the rangers fans and run right in 2 the celtic support, hope whoever goes enjoys it, i'll unfortunatly b watching at home, (ibrox is 2 scary 4 me!!)
