What the * is this guy doing? I realize it take some time to adjust but come on! Nakamura seems to be coping just fine. There's a difference between adjusting to a new environment and just not putting in the effort. Suck it up Maciej!

He never was a kind of player who just come in and make impression. He needs more time. It happend befor it happens now. He regards patience. And for your last sentence I think you like it. What an :asshole2:

In other words, he's not a "blue-collar" player who gives 110% every minute he's on the pitch. He's more of a "delicate genius". We have an expression here in North America for hockey players like that, "*". As for your last comment, I think you lost something in the translation. "Suck it up" means stop making excuses and just do what you're paid to do!

I appreciate your apology. I just hope you're right. We heard many great things about him before he signed and I want to see if all of the hype was justified. I will never knock a player who is lacking in skill but gives everything he's got however, it frustrates me when a player (any player) has obvious skill but doesn't give it his all.

Please watch the games again before you slag Maciej for not giving it all.

Unlike some other Celtic players he's used to playing football where movement off the ball is equally if not more important than when you're on the ball.

He works a lot more than a typical striker does, goes back for the ball a lot, not sure where you got your ideas from. I've not had a chance to watch the whole game today yet (only a few bits) , but when I watch it am sure I'll be able to identify at least 2-3 midfield and forward players who have done less work than Maciej.

I'm confused about Magic. He has a great goalscoring record but he doesn't look a natural goalscorer imo. He keeps coming back and out wide to help build up the play but we need him in the box. His fitness still isn't great as he only seems to last an hour in each game. Tbh I would prefer a strike force of Hartson and Beattie at Ibrox as they have nine goals (Beattie 3 in 4 sub apperances) between them but Magic hasn't even scored yet. For me he has not justified a place in our first eleven.

ATM Celtics attacking play seems to be focused on getting the ball to Hartson, and Zurawski has suggested recently he's trying to strictly follow Strachan's instructions. If GS thought he needed him in the box, he'd probably stick in there more (and then really get slagged for not giving it all in the aftermath ;).

He is a natural goalscorer, but he scores mostly from the range or 1-1's with keeper, honestly can't remember him ever get a 'tap-in' type of goal (well maybe his header against Northern Ireland would qualify).

But I guess when a player's not on as striking form he's not, and that's it. Personally I think it will take a long while for him to start scoring freely, and as I've stated before - by all means, do bench him whenever his replacements are on form, but bring him on for the last 25-30 minutes of the game or as situation dictates, preferably for Hartson, so he has a chance to link up with Maloney (or Beattie, or Aliadiere).

As to Ibrox, not sure he'll even play at all, he's most likely playng in two NT games next week (mon and wed) so chances are GS will rest him regardless, well at least unless he scores 5 goals or so in these games ;).

    im a bit amazed THEREALDEAL..

i understand u can be disappointed with zurawski goal record so far..
    but not givin it 110%?

Murphy7 already pointed it out - hes all over the pitch, goin back for the ball, building attacks, u can see him on the right wing, on the left wing, in the centre.. thats sth uncommon for forward
but i think this is strachan tactic - one typical striker (hartson) and supporting zurawski creating gameplay up the front (and maloney after sub)
he my not be succesful so far.. but HE IS givin it

btw, i think zurawski will score against rangers
after todays game i think his first goal is very close

    Look at this:
    http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=MAGIC98

If he can score goals like this for Celtic you'll all eat yer words. Give him time, he will score 25+ goals every season. Watch it and then tell me you don't think he's a talent.

Zamas, tbh I believe most Celtic fans are already familiar with these videos and some are probably frustrated with Magic's lack of scoring form so far, so shoving this in their faces again might do no good at all ;) I am sure they'd love to see him score goals like these - but for Celtic ;)

The truth is these vids show what potential he has, I hope it isn't wasted. Being Polish I could argue that this is not the case of Magic being no good for Celtic, but Celtic being no good for Maciej, but this is certainly not the right place for this kind of discussion ;).

He needs to start scoring though.

Point taken, he will start scoring, just frustrates me that some people demand instant success or the player is branded a failure. A player capable of the type of goals scored in the video won't just suddenly become crap, that's the only point I was trying to make.

ZamasBhoy, vvex - looks like there still are people with some brain cells !

If Żurawski feels trust and confidence from his coach, team mates and supporters than he'll be the best Celtic player by far.

And I really hate to read posts like "gee we spent 2,5 million pounds, so much money, oh my * what a waste blah blah blah" 'cause there is at least one team ( I'm thinking of Trabzonspor ) who would gladly pay Celtic that scrabby 2,5 million plus they will lick our * in thankfulness :87: .

Give Zurawski a chance lads! He didn't become a bad player overnight. I think he has just taken a little while to fit in after all the hulabaloo surrounding his transfer being dragged out for weeks. He is probably a wee bit too technical for the way we are playing at the moment and will be fine when everything clicks into place. :celt_2: :celt_2: :celt_2: Zurawski :celt_2: :celt_2: :celt_2:

I think Magic is a real confidence player- you could see it last week when he missed the one on one in the first half- his head went down a bit. Also it was clear from his comments during the week that he knows he hasn't been at his best but most importantly he wants to improve (makes a refreshing change from Camara and Juninho last year). When you view the clip of his goals, you can't help but want to give him another chance.

Agreed. Keep the faith the signs are there, with his first goal comes confidence and then there will be no stopping him. Come on Maciej do it at Ibrox!

i cant stand that crap anymore. only because he is polish, it doesnt mean the whole country needs to defend him. its not about his nationality, its all about his performances. why do feel some polish lads insulted when somebody critizices zurawski?

we have to face the facts:

he has been pash and he doesnt deserve to start at ibrox. its not because he is polish, it is because there are better players at the moment

Agree - except one thing - there isn't a single better player than Zurawski in the current Celtic squad. There are players in better form.

IMO he should start in first 11 at ibrox. Maybe he's out of form but his technique, pace and brilliance are something we may need to beat Rangers.

If he plays * at Ibrox then what the * - BENCH HIM !

Zamas (i think thats what he's called) made very good points. The player has potential and cant just be bad overnight. We must give him time, and I would personally start him against the huns, and if he has a poor game, bring on maloney.
