I heard Ian McCall on the radio one time, and he said this, "That's a real bugbear of mine. I hate it when players look up before they cross the ball. Don't look up, just hit it into an area where you think someone might be"

That's one of the leading names in Scottish football. He's in charge of developing our young footballers. I would never listen to a word that comes out of his cretinous mouth.

Robertson is playing in one of the best teams we’ve seen in recent years, but there’s no doubt he is much more potent in the final 3rd but he has lots of clever players making good options for him.. he’s just operating at higher level at the mo.

We could really have been doing without KT heading to Palestine to be played out of position and taking a dent to his confidence.

    Griff has the right idea....

I was thinking this earlier today. Tierney is probably aware he isn’t operating at the same level we’ve been accustomed to watching at and that own goal might further dent his confidence.

He's been withdraw from the Scotland squad. Apparently the SFA don't want to add to his heavy workload by fielding him in a friendly

Fantastic news. Pull McGregor out as well. This game tomorrow is a colossal waste of time and effort for everyone involved, especially the fans.

Celtic's Kieran Tierney has been released from the Scotland squad to avoid burnout, with West Ham's Robert Snodgrass withdrawing due to injury.

Scotland's coaching staff recognise Tierney has played a lot of football this season and have allowed him to return to Celtic to rest. The 21-year-old has featured in 22 matches this term

Wow. Common sense from the sfa.

Nope, no having that. There will be more to this.

KT caught McLeish injecting High Commissioner whisky into his japs eye and demanded that he doesn't play in friendlies any more and that he plays LB when he does feature.

Certainly more plausible than the sfa doing something right for a change.

Perhaps the sfa shouldn't be making the squad play stupid friendlies all the time. Even if we must due to what ever dumb rule, then they shouldn't be calling up guys playing twice a week already for Portugal to have a laugh at us.

As a Peaky Blinders fan, that is * amazing.

One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

Tell them to ram their national team up their *, they have treated our players and club with utter contempt for decades.

When I saw this on KT's twitter feed (as someone who has never seen Peaky Blinders), I didn't have a clue what was going on, thought it was some random nutter. But as always, this forum educates on all matters Celtic. Thanks for clearing it up.
