Sky sports linking BR with the Newcastle job. Honestly hard to believe but it feels like they are trying to disrupt our team at every opportunity.

I know he'll leave us one day but I'd be completely shocked if he left our tight board to work under Mike Ashley's budget in the EPL.

Now that the villa job is gone, sky and BBC are full pelt into making him favourite for the yet to be vacant Newcastle job.

Going by BBC and sky, Rodgers must really be * off Dermot with all these jobs he keeps applying for and being in the run for.

Sadly I think if he was offered the Newcastle job he’d take it.
But I don’t think he will be.

If he had a gripe with Celtic it would be lack of urgency to provide him with transfer funds.

Why the * would he join Newcastle at this point in time?

I think his gripe with us would be we are unwilling to * all sorts of money on the * that him and Congerton want to bring in.
Newcastle love spending £10-15million on utter * so he’d fit right in.

I have a real dislike for Newcastle and I’m not sure why.

Sorry but if BR gets upset because we won’t match Aberdeen’s £7million valuation of McKenna then Newcastle are welcome to him :crazy3:

Ashley’s net spends are next to nothing, he doesn’t spend money. Even the big fees he spunks (which are chump change in England) are offset by big fees they receive. He won’t go to Newcastle, even if offered.

You also appear to have a misplaced bee in yer bunnet about our manager, chasing McKenna or not he is a ridiculously successful Celtic Manager.

Considering newcastle are 10 times worse than us when it comes to spending money, i doubt he'd be interested.

    So like us then? :97:

Rodgers signing record for us is appalling.
That’s the bee in my bunnet. I’m not arguing with his achievements.
I wouldn’t trust him and Congerton with our clubs money so his sulking isn’t warranted imho.
He’d be better off with a Director of Football and staying out of the signings and getting on with managing/coaching.
He always works best when he hasn’t signed players that he wants.
    That’s a historical fact.

See Willie Wallace giving him pelters over Arzani and his record in Europe.

Read that earlier, 3 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Pure unadulterated pish from Wallace.

Yip, exactly like us. So why would he leave the Club he supports with no guarantees of any money to spend?

Congerton can GTF he’s stealing a wage, Rodgers can stay here as long as he wants if he continues to be as successful as he has been.

Seems like it's open season on Rodgers.

Lion or not, Wallace should STFU.

Brendan must be surely * off with all the * he's had to deal with and now he's getting it from ex-players.

I wouldn't mind if it was some dumpling like Mowbray but a guy that's delivered two trebles. FFS.

He's not beyond criticism, far from it. But some of these little digs are pathetic.

The Arzani comment is just absolutely bizarre.

As if he’s sticking Zidane in the reserves and not a wee guy with potential who’s miles off the pace.

The fact he had a go at Rogic shows how little credence there is in his opinion.
