    Really don't want to get too carried away about the guy after a few games but I'm beginning to think my prayers have been answered with how he's started. It's a shame it's a loan spell, but I'll happily take it considering the alternatives.

    I know there is a feel good factor after yesterday, but this eventual situation is going to be diabolical and it must be addressed in January.

    It's a near certainty that Boyata is off in the summer, and with Benkovic going back to Leicster, we'll be left with * Hendry, Comper and Ajer to see us through the qualifiers.

    If Boyata isn't signing on then we need to spend in Jan, definitely!

    I reckon we can still get the bulk of the £10m odd offered in the summer for Boyata, a bottom 10 EPL club probs wouldn't hesitate to save their EPL status.

    Has to be spent wisely, needs to be gotten right.

    You mean sell Boyata in Jan if we doesn't sign a new contract?

    That's still a big risk for me.

    I'd probably be more prepared to let him go for free in the summer, as I think we need him at the back for the remainder of the season.
