Gamboa has had more good games this season than Lustig and he's only played 4 games.

His exclusion is incredible. Not that he's the long term answer but * sake he's a decent stop gap until January

Was to blame for 2 of the goals tonight, standing with his hands behind his back for the first goal, why wasn't he tackling the guy instead of Forest, although Forest couldn't tackle a fish supper

I'd say Hendry had a part in them too.

You can actually see it in Lustigs face now...I think he knows himself he hasn't got it anymore.

He's been a terrific signing for Celtic - and one of my favourite players during his time here - but he has to go. It's sad watching him regress.

Lustig has been a tremendous player for us.

Always gives his all and didnt have his head turned when mid table epl pish came sniffing and waving cash under his nose.

He rightly will go down as a celtic great.

But hes done. Has been done for a while now. We were too busy * around with uber tim mcginn to see that he needed replacing. Now his legacy is in danger because of this myopia that has infected our club.

    Really feel for the guy

Lustig's pace is a problem he can't run up the park and then chase all the way back and he like a couple of others is guilty of passing the ball backwards too much.

celtic great * sake:56:, why not add john gudeitti and kazim richards to your celtic greats list as well? * literally had 2 good seasons and has been stealing a wage for 3 years. He knows hes pish and has 0 confidence yet our egotistical manger will play him just to show that he has the 'power'. Take a look at the second goal and it sums him up, Forrest was covering * almost all game yet he's ball watching instead of getting into position to block the cross. Can't run, can't defend, can't score, can't cross, can't intercept, but he wears a policeman's hat so all is forgiven. No doubt again he will be rewarded by playing the next european game, like time and time again.

Any reasons as to why you would play him? and don't say experience cause it means * all when a player struggles to run. Is there a winger in the league that hasn't skint him yet? let alone in Europe where you actually need your full backs to both attack and defend, not some one dimensional pensioner who is towing a caravan on his back

    "Celtic great" FFS ???????????
As I said some time ago - No longer a passenger just a liability !!
I was convinced when he went down he would feign injury and get
    taken off - AGAIN !!!

    * on here were saying he needed replacing 2 years ago. Lustigs regression isn't a new thing lots of people -including myself- could see that he was done ages ago but got shot down whenever he was criticised because of 'how great a servant' he is. Now it's just got so bad you can't ignore it, should never have gotten to this point.

Over 14 major honors with us including 7 titles, more than henke some other "legends" but some wallopers on here wanna deny his achievments because he legs are done. Obviously hes past it. Get over it.

    He IS a Celtic great.

And @Leadpipelouie ... think youre in the wrong forum son. :fear:

He's been done for ages, but the occasional 'minimally-acceptable' performance seems to placate some, and buys him a little more time.

Same thing has been happening with Sinclair - a cheeky back-heel finish does not fix the 18 months of mediocrity that has gone before.

The team needs substantially reworked in January - these 2 feature on the 'move on' list.

PS - I agree that he has been a very good Celtic player though. It's just that his time is over. Comes to us all.

    I * give up.

I don't blame him because he's absolutely *, aye he should mark his man at the back post and stop marking Hendry instead but we know he does that because he's pish and isn't smart enough.

But the buck lies with Brendan Rodgers. He picks him week in week out, if Lustig was a dog he would have been put down last season. Same old * with Celtic though.

We are * horrendous at the back. The worst I've seen us at the back in decades.
