The funds raised for the match the fine effort must have really * them off though. They are so out of touch with the majority of our fans it’s unreal, but as you said the the AGM they will worm out of it somehow and they will continue to * us over. We really need to try and get all the fans together on their actions and negligence of our club, but I can’t see how at present sadly.

Why he didnt do the same to Boyata then? Why Boyata was welcomed back with open arms? I consider faking an injury much more serious than saying whatever * on twitter.

If he was consistent in his attitude, Boyata would have even less of a chance of playing for Celtic. And it was not for pragmatic reasons, as we are certainly going to miss Dembele more than Boyata.

Who knows,we need to ask BR why the two players ended up with different endings.....i think he was worried enough about our defence that they thought it was the right move to turn down 9 million.
We have better cover in strikers and 20 million is huge,we are also now out of the CL.
Even though we got players in,its been a mess of a window and they all played a part in it.

Arguably Moussa was our best striker. We should've dealt with both players in the same way.

I agree with the majority of this. Dembele has never come close to anything like this before, and from the moment we signed him we all knew that he wasn't here for the long term. It seems clear to me that we attract these types of players by offering ourselves as a stepping stone to 'bigger' things (as in a better level of football) - which is completely the right thing for us to be doing in our position in the market. If an offer has come in that has met the criteria set out in their gentleman's agreement then that should have been honoured.

We as fans need to change our mindset about transfers, things aren't like they used to be - the less wealthy clubs are now effectively all feeding into the wealthier ones, if we get two good years out of a player then sell for a profit that should be enough - as long as we reinvest to an extent.

What I mean by that is we buy a player for £1-2m and sell for say £15m, I do not expect us to spend £15m on a replacement, but we should be looking to spend £4-5m on someone who we then aim to sell for £15-20m, then do the same £6-7m and sell £20-25m etc. It isn't going to work out as neatly as that every time but that should be the goal. As it stands now we are never getting past the first stage, and continuing to try and buy guys for £1m and sell for £10m+, which is not seeing us improve anything other than our bank balance. This is where our scouting needs to be better.

We are from now on going to attract these transient young players and need to try not to get too attached to keeping them, we just need to be smarter about it. We should have been shopping Moussa in June or early July so we could replace him early - the key fault is the gambling on the Champions League which we have done over the past few seasons - and you have to say we've allowed the cracks to be papered over by some decent results, this year our chickens have come home to roost.

The fault lies squarely at the door of the boardroom, they have not backed the manager after two of our most successful ever seasons despite his public calls for certain types of players to be recruited and that cannot go unpunished. Peter Lawwell was brought into Celtic to oversee a strategy of cost cutting, we now need to be thinking about growth and he is not the man for that. He is taking too much money out of the club and is too financially incentivised to not spend money on improving the squad, and that is what needs to change.

The Brighton stuff I think is bullshit

What was telling from Benkovic's interview with Celtic Tv was how he repeated the fact that the deal happened so fast. He said it all happened within one day! It's a joke that we left the deal until the last minute. And we could have been left with no CB coming in if that had fell through. * stuff

We still have the potential, if January and the Summer of 2019 go well, to make sure that nobody else ever wins the Scottish League again. We have the game here by the throat and could with a bit of investment and long term planning make this a one-team country.

I will never forgive Lawell and others if they allow the rest back in.

Ok an extreme example I admit but a defender from Sporting Gijon would be £3m+ and wages around £30k in this days transfer market. The orcs aren't doing * all they're buy now pay never on absolute * hawks

As I said last night in a previous post those markets take extensive scouting which we haven't done, we as in BR and Lee Congerton

End of the day we can't keep blaming Lawwell because he has Tory mates, BR picks and identifies the targets, the money is there as in evidence of the Eddy deal, we spent money, my opinion is that Brendan is aiming for players that don't want to come here

I would keep away from the 'big leagues' altogether unless there's a real bargain/gem in there.....still gonna have the problem of wages possibly though. You mentioned Scandinavia and Eastern Europe yourself and whilst probably not untapped anymore they'd certainly have some finds in there if the scouting system is doing their job. I'm not gonna rattle off player after player, it's not my job, but it's a sad day when you're on a forum listening to knowledgeable guys on here because there's not been a peep from Lee who??? You could also spin the argument about how hard it is to sell us to foreign players. Our training complex, ground, European football, Celtic just * Celtic ffs and half these guys would sell their granny for a chance if we went about this the right way.

'Cheap' pot shots at Lawwell are just signs of exreme frustration but he carries the can for some of this imo. He's fallen asleep on watch. There's something not right between BR and Lawwell at the moment imo!!

By the by, the orcs comparison was tongue-in-cheek as i'm sure you know but they're ahead in the activity stakes if nothing else!!!

I do accept some of your points but for me, i don't think i'm being over emotional, i get the business and financial structure argument but our ships had no captain for the last 3 months and it's cost us big time!!!

ps- forgot the disco lights, if they don't blind johnny foreigner i give up!!!
