McGeady said himself this season that he wants to stay at Celtic for a few more years but would like to play elsewhere when he feels ready. That and the fact he has 3 years on his contract. McGeady is going nowhere no matter what they media speculate

although I would much rather we kept him and signed those players too, I would tend to agree. Anyone paying 10-15 million for him now would be buying a work in progess with some major flaws and IMO grossly overspending on him. He will probably be actually worth that sort of money in 2 years but right now I think he is only worth half of that if I was a buying manager.

What about the fact that he still gets pelters from a small amount of the fans.

I've been a big fan of his for a while, even last year when he was taking the stick for no end product, I thought he was still our most exciting player.

He may want to move on to get away from all that crap and go where his team supports him no matter what national side the lad wants to play for.

Lol McGeady won't go to Sunderland..not a chance,it would be like signing for the * Gretna of the premiership..
Only one person who could persuade him and the would be Kevin Keegan at Newcastle with a £60,000 a week carrot lol but hey like i said McGeady will stay at Celtic and become a legend..of that i have no doubt...

McGeady won't be moving anywhere at this stage in his career. If and when he moves it certainly won't be to a club like Sunderland, no disrespect to Sunderland but he is hardly going to work his * off honing his skills at Celtic to get a permanent slot in the first team, play Champions League football each season to move to what is no better than a yo-yo English side. If in the fullness of time he sees a move from Celtic as furthering his career it will be to a top English premiership side or a Spanish side of quality.

I'm sick to the back teeth of mediocre english clubs thinking they can just nick all of our best players, i'm sure aidens got more sense then liam miller and maloney and will stay a few seasons and then gotta a top team in europe.
