BR will be * raging if we don't bring anyone in, especially after publicly stating he wanted 4 signings last week. What a pathetic window.

Stated he would. flung his name in before Brendan got the job stated many a time especially when deila was manager that he seen himself as the celtic boss and he felt a bitter taste knowing someone else was in the hotseat

"Brendan Rodgers is here for ten in a row" that must really irk Lawwell every time he hears that.

He wants Celtic fans to look back and associate his name the most with ten in a row.

The club was in the pits back then. The only way was up. He was out of a job.

How BR has been treated will resonate with him. They wouldn't back Lenny after making the last 16 in the CL and they won't back the current manager after two domestic trebles.

Lenny isn't stupid. He knows that CL success isn't as attainable anymore and trying to follow up BR's domestic success without the financial backing would be incredibly difficult to say the least. Why risk his legacy at the club

He’ll still take the job, I’m absolutely positive that Lennon would jump at the chance to come back here, especially if it was chance to win the 10.

Neil Lennon was warning other managers not to take the Celtic job, after he left. Doubt he'd want it.

This is a recursive cycle from this tight arsed *, illusion of backing but actually we don't net spend * all, if we don't make big sales we tend not to invest.

If Brendan walks at 8, the next manager will sure as * want to be guaranteed the financial backing to win the 10. NL doesn't trust the board and who can blame him given the treatment BR has received.

Blowing the 10 would be a massive massive failure and one there's no coming back from, especially for someone with such a strong connection to the club.

It's not as cut and dry as you think.

The problem is, Brendand spouted the "the board fully back me etc" and low and behold he is realizing they spout one amount of *.

You could find a plethora of quotes like that from all of the 4 out of 5 managers who have walked under Peter Lawwell's dictatorship. It's likely he gives them promises, and they in turn laud him in the media before realising they have been lied to.

If Peter Lawwell was here around those times and the early 2000's, we'd never call Henrik Larsson a hero as he'd have been papped off to Manchester United at the first offer.

    We signed anyone yet?
It would seem our scouting department still cannot find any suitable targets anywhere in world football apart from an over priced Hibs midfielder and an Aberdeen defender whos no better than what we already have.
The longer this window goes on my determination to be more positive is being truly tested. If you didn't laugh the tears would drown you.

All joking aside, right now I'd rather sign no one than 1 or more simply to make up the numbers. I'd naturally love some quality in but at this late stage?

Wouldn't it be good if we knew what players the club were trying to bring in(if any) but as it is all paper talk at the moment and according to them the club are trying to sell Dembelle and Ntcham what would the mood of the fans change to if the club did sell either of those two and kept Boyata to lose him to a pre contract in january and lose money. At the moment the club are looking incompetent regarding transfer dealings the biscuit tin mentality of the Whites and Kelly's are back but they didn't have the money to spend that the club does now, once again it looks like the biggest obstacle to reaching the C.L.and achieving 10iar is the complacency within the club As it stands the club has lost in the region of £30 mill by not doing their job in getting players in for the qualifiers and because of that ineptitude couldn't sell Boyata to Fulham for 9mill which would have balanced out the spending on players
