Mixture between tactics and coaching but more coaching I think.

Some of the goals we have conceded have just been beyond basic stuff.

 

Has to be a combination of all..

The way we defend is embarrassing. The defender's (almost all) we have are embarrassing. How weak physically they are, is embarrassing. How weak mentally they are, is embarrassing. How easily we're countered, is embarrassing. How we crumble whenever we go behind or team's are physical against us, is embarrassing..

The fact our current setup can't spot any decent one's, is embarrassing..

 

Our "style" lends itself to leaving our CB'S exposed a little more than previous seasons, but I think it's at the moment, more the inexperience for some and just not being good enough for others that is main issue.

The goals we are conceeding are a joke real school boy stuff considering the level they are meant to be play at.

At this rate I'd take * Rogne and Josh Thompson back and have big triangle head Dan the Maj out of retirement.

 

It's got nothing to do with Kennedy, there's no such thing as a defensive coach just like we don't have a strikers coach he just happens to have been a defender who's now a coach just like Toure. The organisation of the defence is down to Rodgers, he doesn't have the personnel to play the way he wants and doesn't seem to be adapting or buying in guys who can play that way.

 

Mixture of all. The defence is the weakest in the last 2 years. You need better quality defenders for that style of play and they have not been found. Tactics could probably play around if they want.

 

We need a BOBO in our defence someone who scares the fck out attackers and has Brooney’s mentality

 

There's no such thing as a defensive coach, really?

 

Not at Celtic, Kennedy said so when he done an interview for one of the podcasts.

 

That he isn't a defensive coach, or we don't have one?

 

If you see our defence you would definitely say there is not a defensive coach at Celtic or if there is the * should be sacked.

 

He said that its a myth that he was the defensive coach and that the club doesn't have someone that solely focuses on defending.

 

I said that before on here.

In reality you can't teach someone to defend, players have their certain styles and theres little to nothing you can do about it. By the time players are playing for Celtic they've been playing football for 15+ year near daily, you're not going to be able to change anything about how someone plays, you can change your style and fit guys around how your players play but you can't really take like Simunovic and explain to him what to do different or better as hes played thousands of games over a decade+ and will always just do things the same as he does it without thinking.

Gary Neville mentioned the same the other night on MNF, almost burst out laughing when Carragher was talking about how the Arsenal defence needed to be coached better. Saying theres nothing you can do about it and they just need better players, said modern players can't be coached and whatever.

You could try and coach them by telling them all the positions they should be getting into in various scenarios and what to look out for and to be aware of things unfolding around them and to keep calm and all that but in reality it's just not going to work their natural instincts and reactions built up over 10,000 hours of playing football will just kick in without thinking.

 

Can we add an option for gypsy curse? Somecunt must have drove their Merc through a big dirty puddle and its went all over a wee Romanian woman begging on London Rd.

We should try having an exorcism done. Or maybe start sacrificing goats before games, Karagandy style.

Here's the interview with Kennedy 37:40 mark he talks about the idea of a defensive coach and what he does at the club.

 

In our ideal set up we are missing 4 guys.

We don't have a keeper who can pass out from the back, Bain does it well but he's probably too wee and average to be first choice.

We don't have a good enough right-back to play a right-back, Ideally we would have Lustig of 3-4 years ago or a Hinkel or McNamara.

We lack two centre-backs who are comfortable on the ball and quick, and given the rest of our team are poor in the air we could do with them being great in the air. Especially if we want to play a back 3.

We should be working on fixing that. We should be planning to get those 4 guys in place before next summer, 1 or 2 now, 1 or 2 in January and 1 or 2 next summer, ideally we'd already have 2 of them in but we've * up.

 

Is it possible that Kennedy drugged Jozo and Compper and switched a knee of theirs with one of his own.

Someone should look into it.
