Was he even on the bench ? He played well last week and would have done better for the cross that lead to their goal.
Weird as well when you consider hendry never started at the weekend.

A manager has to take responsibility as well, it is obscene to think it is purely at board level.

I very much doubt you are more realistic on Celtic's chances over a season (including all european games) than me. I just don't get off on our disappointments aa much as you.

Interesting game. Was impressed by Ntcham and thought Sinclair (?) should have started or come on earlier.

AEK looked like a team who had not kicked a ball in anger in months - which was the case. Lots of injuries, players playing out of position to cover gaps - but as usual - exceptionally organised and exceptionally determined as they were last season.

Said in March we were sleepwalking towards a disaster. This may be it. Lost momentum on 35 mins so try and split Ajer and Hendry and pass it out with 4 men pressing. Insanity. Nothing good comes from playing that way especially under pressure.

Facing a Thursday Sunday campaign is grim if we don't get through. then the deficit from CL means cut backs in the squad as usual.

The fact were going into these matches with jack Hendry is baffling. Just not able to play out under pressure and yet we somehow build our game around it.

Been known for months we would miss players and have 4 qualifiers and we have potentially * it.

It's a pity we lost such a poor goal, i thought some of our play, particularly first half, was outstanding.

To be fair I dunno what's happened behind the scenes but Rodgers didn't say anything just that he is concentrating on the players he has so.... I wonder if something has been said as he isn't elaborating and BBC has reported the board are raging with his comments during the week

Well with a combination of Gordon who couldn't do a superman impression and Lustig who didn't make one mistake and couldn't imitate Usain Bolt, I'm going to blame Ntcham then, not one single shot on target.

There you go, might as well join the * crew.

Ajer is * suspect man. He looks a yard too slow and reckless. Will get sent off and concede penalties for fun at the highest level.

I agree mate. The final third was disappointing but reckon folk are being harsh as *. I thought KT, McGregor, Ntcham and Forrest all played very well. The rest of the team weren't bad either. The defending for the goal wasnt great but overall I thought we looked far more composed with the ball than against Rosenberg.

We dominated in the first half and then second half just couldn't break them down unfortunately, needed a special moment from someone. Very frustrating game.

Patching this place til weekend man, as I see most folk disagree lol.

You can blame him but I dont. as I said before when you fail to back a manager that has achieved so much then the blame lies with the board. The reason Lennon left and we ended up with a shambles of a team for two years.

What difference does champions league money make when it doesn't get invested in the first team?

We are the whipping boys of the champions league so the only prestige we get out of it is money and the fact we are there. Pains me to say it but I'd rather not watch another Barca or PSG mauling.

Football has overtaken us. Clubs are spending 70 million on a goalkeeper FFS. Scottish football will soon be at the same level.as the league of Ireland.

UEFA are *. The smell of money is more important than anything to them. Unfortunately it's countries and clubs like ours that feel the brunt of that.

    * UEFA

Aye was gutting to lose a goal in that manner. I think if we hadn’t of lost that goal we would of went on to win by a few goals, i think the goal knocked our confidence a bit going into the 2nd half.

We did our job at the Park. 1-1 makes us very confident here in Athens. Very unlucky losing Mantalos and Boye today (as they played a crucial role in our type of play). The unfair red card changed the game at that moment as we got in the 2nd half fairly confident. That led to us parking the bus and doing that just perfectly.
All in all, the tie is not finished, we will see 2 different teams in Athens. And i hope for a very entertaining game. Right now its a 60-40 in favor of us. Good luck in the league game at the weekend!
