What would happen if Brendan were to publicly slag Lawwell for not backing him with funds?

Vince McMahon swagger into the boardroom with a briefcase of 15 million worth of dough and telling Lawwell to spend it on new players, the end.

    Hopefully

I don't think any more should be made out of it than Rodgers has made his point publicly and now the ball is in the Board's court. If we don't bring in players that Rodgers wants in the next week, kiss goodbye to the (what appeared to be) rock solid bond from Board to Manager.

Over to you Celtic and Lawwell...

Just hope this pans out in a good way and not end in tears with BR packing it in so * alarming to read his and lawell has to be held accountable word is tht desmond has flown back to glasgow yesterday aa he left lawell in charge of running the club and transfers if indeed desmond has flown in yesterday then its hand in hand with rumours that we matched villas bid for mcginn

Lawell MUST be held accountable and at thw next agm some questions must be asked pf him i dont want some run of the mill press release from him hes been doing this too long keeping costs low to increase his own packet give the managwr the backing he needs and repay the fans unrelented support because iv never seen a unification like ee have in last 2 seasons celtic fans are everywhere and partying together celtic bars popping up left righr and centre theres waiting lists again people fightin for tickets * show some.ambition

Probably the best interview I've heard from a Celtic manager concerning these matters particularly the bit about not wanting to stand still.

    Fair play Brendan.

It's infuriating we should be building on our position of strength instead of letting Sevco close the gap and risking not qualifying for the champions league.

I know they're still miles behind us before someone jumps down throat but they won't be indefinitely and they only need to be better than the other 10 teams to put together a title challenge, when we are so close to ten in row we should be signing the players we need to keep them miles behind.

There are a fair few fans who have their heads firmly in the sand. I'm not worried about them.

I'm worried that those who matter at the club (those above the manager) seem to have their heads in the sand too.

Denayer, Roberts, Izaguirre and Arzani in the next 48 hours will have everything feeling much better.

I would take even that at this point although I'm a little hissed at Denayer and Izzy. Have we all forgotten what Izzy was like before we punted him? Denayer will always be a wantaway kind of player as he thinks he's too good for us.
Boyata's head has been turned by his WC exploits and he would be as well away though. I remember reading something he was saying in the press at the time and thinking boy has he suddenly got up on himself!

Never played like that, said he enjoyed his time at the club, you not find it suspicious that the only apparent quote along those lines comes from the Scottish Sun?

Denayer would be a shrewd signing Imo adds class to the backline. He always says he enjoyed it here, not once did he ever say he was too good for the league.
