    Just because it's a loan doesn't mean they don't want to play for us.

    Loans let us have players with larger price tags on their heads we can't afford or don't want to pay.

    Option to buy look at edouard these deals are better than the ones we usually do like sign an up and comer and turn them I to stars examples vvd wanyama.... But then you get signings like pukki or bangura these loan deals are sound if the player isn't what we would like they go back to club at no extra cost apart from the wages

    Think this kills any spec about Roberts why would City give us Roberts if it keeps arzani further down the pecking they will sell Roberts recoup the twelve and after the two year loan will get 5 Mill from us for arzani if its successfull

    Brendan Rodgers confirmed Australian international Daniel Arzani is set to join Celtic on loan.

    The 19-year-old playmaker, who made three substitute appearances for the Socceroos in Russia, is on the verge of moving from Melbourne City to Manchester City.

    Arzani will then switch from the Etihad to Celtic Park on a long-term loan deal.

    He is, I believe, finalising his deal with Manchester City and in talks with ourselves to come in, as a possibility," Rodgers said of Arzani.

    "He is another exciting young talent and we will see if we can get that organised in the next few days.


    It is not going to be (before) midweek. He has just flown in, he hasn't trained.

    "He has obviously been at the World Cup so he will need to be in for a couple of weeks before he gets up to speed."
