    I don't turst the huns accounts or the media but Rodgers made a telling comment before a glasgow derby last season along the lines of;

"we are playing a team who have spent over £10m in the summer window, we spent nowhere near that and we are a CL team"

that set alarm bells off for me at the time and still does!

The Arrascaeta rumor is being rubbished by many on here, but I'm honestly thinking he'll * our transfer budget on him, and leave breadcrumbs or nothing for the defense. It'll be a coup of a signing, but in the wrong area.

So yesterday when asked about McGinn, Brendan says

"Hopefully the clubs can sort it out. But if there comes a point in time where it’s not going to happen then of course, naturally, we might need to do that.

We are already players down from last season. We want to strengthen the squad – that’s important for us.

I’m aware at this time that there also needs to be patience as well."

Today its reported when asked about will the squad be stronger its

    "I don't know I really don't know"

So what has changed in those few hours * *!

His interviews are usually bad, but that is a new low, it's just babbling without making sense and throwing insults around.

Maybe he's just focused on the game and doesn't really want to be talking about transfers?

Yup there was a lot shouting his record was terrible, but at least he was scouting places other than England ffs. This Congerton set up is baffling for me as there seems to be absolutely * all coming through it when we all know that defence is a riot.

The other thing point is, he has already said he won’t change his mindset in Europe. But imo if he knows we can’t compete financially then surely he is contradicting himself. You can’t go toe to toe with world class players as if it’s your weekend SPFL fixture.

I backed Rodgers against lots of fans over this. He came out & said he wouldn't change his style of play & i was happy at this as our players need to be comfortable on the ball in Europe, the mind set has to change. He then totally changed his system against Anderlecht :47:

I now have the attitude that. Celtic had Ronny by the balls & the guy would have taken the job with any budget. Rodgers had the board by the balls & could have demanded anything, we all know he would have got a job in the EPL if he didn't go to us. IMO he took the larger wage rather than demanding the higher budget.

Yup, was at the Anderlecht game and you could clearly notice he had sent the team out first and foremost not to lose 3 goals. He for me is the best manager we have had since O’Neill or maybe Strachan, but he can be just as stubborn as both them when it comes to the fans.

Aye that confused me at the time that as well, for the market he was needing to play in he done exceptionally well.

100% spot on, everyone was buzzing for the game and going into with high hopes of it being a cracker since we were 3-0 up on aggregate. Instead we parked the bus and let Anderlecht dictate the game, atmosphere was dead very early on in the game which imo makes our players worried.

Then he should shut up, be evasive, say the usual neutral platitudes "oh we are focused we have a great game ahead of us, our opponent is very good and we will do the very best to win", which is what 99% of players and managers do, instead of keep repeating "quantity over quality"

Maybe you should email him and advise him how to conduct himself in interviews.

I think a good few supporters are getting fed up up with lack of signings and if we get knocked out either this round or next then the board has alot of explaining to do .
