i think you're taking things too literally mate. every player who has played this season has done their bit but for the reputation he had, the money we spent on him and the wages he earns his contribution towards us winning the league was minimal to say the least.

its hardly a coincidence we started playing our best fitba when he was dropped

 

The team as a whole hasn't played that well this season though. Picking out players individually, Caldwell has noly started playing well over the past few weeks, before that he wasn't performing at all. Naylor hasn't performed since last season. Took Hartley a while to start performing also. I just think the guy get too much stick. I think he has done the job he was asked to do at Celtc Park. Robson has added more of a attacking edge to the midfield, Something that was lacking. Sometimes WGS plays players out of position and i think that affects performances at times. Also this is the most football he has played am pretty sure.

 

At the end of the day we won the league ffs lets give the team a break and back who ever comes in this summer and whoever stays. They deserve it

i agree with the bhoys we should back the likes of donati at the start of the seson he showed abit what he can do like the game against hearts at cp back in august thought he had a great game that day him and brown,back the team we just did 3 in a row,support ur team ffs!

 

think caldwell has been playing really well for months mate.
donati was asked to be the player hartley is and didn't come close to doing it as well as hartley has IMO.
he hasn't been played out of position either.
if he cant manage playing this many games maybe he should become part time:icon_mrgreen:

Yeah but Hartley is a SPL player he knows how to play in this league Donati is from Serie A were players get much more time on the ball, give the guy the chance to adapt.

I would agree About Caldwell think he has been playing well, WGS got it right again. We just need to have faith in the wee man.

 

I never want to hear a Celtic player get booed when his name is read out from the team sheet again, that's for sure. We get behind them and we win things. Well done every single member of the coaching and playing staff.

hartley played a different role for hearts than the one he currently does for us, he adapted so why cant donut? di canio was the best player in scotland in his one and only season with us after moving from italy, marco negri scored loads of goals in his first season with rangers, henke was a winger for feyenord but came here played as a striker and we all know what happened after that.......

donut is rubbish mate and i cant wait to see the back of him, sooner rather than later

 

Agree with all that donati had his chance to prove himself and he didnt, just look at the barca game everytime he got the ball he managed to pass it to a barca player every time, hartley is a far better player.

 

He only cost 1.5m and I doubt that he is even in the top 5 earners at the club.

 

£1.5 mill is more than most of the players in our team, only brooon, JVOH and naka in our first team regulars cost more, he earns £25,000 a week i think and he should do a lot more to justify his wage IMAO

 

Am not sure if he will adapt or not to SPL football but he is a good player. Someone posted a resume of his career and he has done well in Seria A teams of a decent standard in several seasons, excelling in some. He may not be absolutely top drawer but he must be a player. To be fair to him too, he was also our best player in the big run of 6 or 7 wins after the January break. He then lost form again. He is the only player at the club who can very quickly hit a very direct threaded killer pass to forwards from distance. He contributed and deserves another season to prove he can adapt. He just needs to understand the need to fight and also to play in little space.

 

I just pointed it out because a lot of people still believe he cost 3m.I really doubt Donati is on 25K a week.I'd say he is on something around the 17K mark but neither of us really know so it's just speculation.

 

Hartley was mince for us from January 06 until about September 07 when he suddenly became a very useful player. He deserves till the Jan window.
