just to play devils advocate, that was during a protest during the whole get ally out stuff. Detest their support but they did back their new club. No denying that.

    Absolutely agree RE England.

There's an assortment of right-wing, EDL, BNP types in England who undoubtedly align themselves with the Huns. Essentially they're the hooligan element that has disgraced England on many occasions in the past.

And in my experience, an awful lot of English people detest these sorts and by extension detest Rangers/Sevco 2012 - whom they perceive to have an equally ugly xenophobic far-right following.

The English generally don’t give a * about us or them. But on holidays etc any English that do follow usually prefer us. Unless EDL Engerlund types. Was in a bar in Barcelona and for talking to this real arrogant retired Scotland Yard top brass. So self righteous and the working classes were a scourge and his son current copper had to put up with scum on estates. Obviously a flag waving Tory. He was drunk as a pig:86: even made suggestive remarks to my wee Mrs. But he asked who I followed, he was Arsenal. Proudly told him the hoops. * spent the next hour talking about The Lions, Steins tactics and how under rated John Clarke was. Talked so passionately about us I was speechless. Even our 70s and 80s squads. Said he didn’t support us but always had an interest because of the purist football approach. :39:

The funniest one was when Celtic went to Australia in 2009, we played Brisbane Roar and the attendance was 31,340 http://www.austadiums.com/sport/event.php?eventid=9188

A year later in 2010 the huns went and played Syndey and the Attendance was 9,483(in a 45,000 seater stadium) and that wasn't even the only match as Blackburn played AEK Athens the same day so your ticket got you into 2 matches and only that amount went.

    * blurry video but you can still see the empty stadium

They don't have any global fanbase compared to us.

We get invited to go to America and play Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Roma, Porto, Benfica or MLS teams or MLS All-Stars, they go to America to play on High School astro turf pitches against local * teams the standard of Pollok Juniors :56:

Hmm, think some have the blinkers on when it comes to Celtic in England.

Celtic are loathed by a lot of football fans in England.

Not wearing poppies and booing or singing during minute silence.
    IRA support and singing.
    Fu*k the Queen

All three of those are huge insults for English football fans, the amount of grief we get for not wearing poppies or even worse booing during minute silence for the war dead etc.

Many Celtic fans and even players have served their countries but yet some of the brain dead amongst our support embarass the club when it comes to being quiet for a minute. (In other stadiums) - This makes us hated both in Scotland but even more so in England.

The majorities in England support the British establishment, * Sunday was just etc, the IRA bombed quite a few parts of England for example.

The Queen, well it’s their national anthem and they are in their majorities proud of the sovereign state, you’ll see that on TV tonight.

The Huns are identical, Celtic are polar opposites.

To think otherwise is delusional, why would English fans side with Celtic over Rangers for the reasons above?

A lot of English fans couldn’t give a sh*t about 7/8/9/10 in a row in a one horse race either. They want to see a challenge and a league win from Rangers in order to make the Scottish league more competitive again. 10 in a row is great for us as Celtic fans but not great for anyone else tuning into Scottish football.

Worldwide, sure, I would say Celtic have it in the bag, but down south, Burnley, Derby, Wolves, Millwall, Leeds, Chelsea etc we are universally loathed for the reasons stated above.

Look at the grief we get on Social media, the Union Jack pillow for the guy that was sparked out in Sunderland last year as an example. What about the clowns singing about Lee Rigby?

If we ever got into the EPL, there would be riots every week with teams wanting to have a pop at us. Imagine booing the minute silence for the war dead at Chelsea.

I’m just being a realist, I couldn’t give a sh*t if we are hated in England but to think we are loved, it’s bonkers and delusional.

Edinburgh is brilliant because you never see Huns. Far more Celtic fans here than Huns.

Let’s see Cbhoy. Do you know the names of Seamus Duffy aged 16 or Kidso Reilly even 13 year old Julie Livingstone. Peter Mc Bride 19. Aidan McAnespie. Can you name any of the * Sunday victims whom the British army for years have tried to justify murdering. All of the aforementioned were innocent civilians who were unarmed. Do the majority of Celtic fans oppose the poppy on the jersey, of course we do. Do we oppose the right of fellow fans to wear it, of course we don’t. The songs sung were outside the ground and was Aidan McAnespie in protest against the murders of innocents by an army who should not be in my country. I was as an impressionable youngster anti English and everything it stood for. But as I grew up and learned a bit more it was only the government and its army I despised. Not even the 17or 18 year olds being sent to their deaths by some suit in MOD or House of Commons. Most of your war dead are working class. The hijacking of the poppy for serving soldiers during N.I., Afghanastan, Iraq and other illegal wars is another issue. But let’s blind side that. I don’t set out to offend anyone as it is a trait us Gaels don’t partake in, it’s obnoxious and doesn’t win you wars. However we will never roll over to injustice or stay silent to persecution wherever it happens. Just because you don’t like to hear the truth don’t mean it ain’t true.
You have labelled Nazis evil and disgusting for their deeds during WWII and the concentration camps. This all learnt from the British empire 60 years previous. I suppose you support Israel as well. But if your offended on the facts I’ve stated then you can go * yourself. I would like to see a reply.

Absolutely correct and clearly I did misunderstand your point :50:

Clearly I bow to your greater knowledge in Belfast but in Glasgow particularly in the town there are definitely less shirts than ever before, I can go days without seeing any, the fact we have a presence with several club shops and they have hee haw just makes it even more embarrassing for them.

Okay we are loved in England
Good *, what on earth are you talking about? I have not made my viewpoint clear on Ireland or * Sunday.

My point made was the reasoning for us being loathed as a club south of the borderline.

Name another club in the U.K. that would dishonour our war dead? For that reason, Celtic will always be loathed not just in England but up here in Scotland too.

If we can’t sit still and keep our traps shut for 1 minute then how do you expect other fans to “love us”

Singing about the IRA as Scotsmen also makes no sense for those looking in. They don’t care about our roots or why we were formed. All they see is a bunch of grown men singing about the IRA, our hatred for the Queen and being disrespectful in minute silences.

The only issue I have is some of the idiots in our crowd singing about Lee Rigby and not having the common decency to keep their traps shut for a whole minute. Doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree with the reasoning.

And I’d completely disagree with you that the majority of Celtic support is like that. I think you’ll find the very small minority that would sing about Rigby or boo minute silences.

I belt out the rebels as much as every other Celtic fan, I wouldn’t dream of bringing the club into disrepute though.

    We should agree to disagree.

England clearly love us, they support the IRA, they hate the Queen and they all disrespect our war dead.

    There, you happy?

    Jesus.

Out of interest why have you randomly picked a season where there was an active boycott by large sections of their support regarding attending games, merchandising due to the Ashley situation, not that I'm in the habit of being fair to that lot but your stats are deliberately misleading

If you are too young to remember it have a dip into some stats on our attendances in the middle of their 9 in a row, season before the amigos arrived 20k was considered a big crowd bar the Oldco and sheep games
