Honestly doubt there is any interest or intent to bid.

Apparently Villa want him now so they can get rid of players on high salaries and replace them with players from Scotland. The problem is even if Villa take out a loan to pay their tax bill it will be on a high interest and they will be shagged for seasons to come so a player would gain no success there. I expect they think because he is Scottish he will cost £500,000.

    Pretty stupid post.

Mcgeouch has been great for Hibs, but so has Mcginn. So has Kamberi, same with Boyle. They dont have one “main man”. More than one of their players made the team of the year.
Its like saying ronaldo is real madrids main man, so why should a team be interested in bale?

Mcginn is a player in his own right and is rated by many. He has attributes mcgeouch doesnt and vice versa.

For what mcgeouch offers to a team- we currently have better. Its just what it is.
Rodgers obviously feels mcgin can add O what we already have.

Mulgrew was once that player. If he is good enough and he wants a move back, he will get it.

if there is any truth to it then it's a no, Mikey is threatening to break into the senior team and at such a great time for us, no way should he be sent out on loan.

I was speaking to the Celtic director and he said stirfry999 is talking out his hole :50:

I've been against signing him but if it was for about £1million plust Scott Allan then we might as well as it looks like Armstrong is off

Just play kouassi more instead of buying yet another midfielder who isn't better than what we have and won't improve us and spend the money on more pressing areas. For what it's worth I rate McGinn but we don't really need him.

I don't care if we sign him or don't but I don't think he's better than what we have.... Kouassi looks far more promising

I think Kouassi is more promising but this could be the sort of “ Best Scottish players for best team in Scotland” scenario. If the price isn’t crazy we’ve got nothing to lose really.

He comes, improves and we’ve got ourselves a bargain and a good homegrown player to boot. Scenario two, he doesn’t impress, we sell him to some * down south for the price we paid, sorted.

I'll welcome him if he comes. He's a good player but we're looking to strengthen for Europe I just don't think he's an improvement over the players we have. All of our signings should be improvements. We have enough depth in the squad as is

Just think we could be spending money better elsewhere.

We as fans see it like that though. Brendan might not though. We freshen up and strengthen for the league first and foremost. Europe is always a bonus in the boards eyes.

This was probably more true regarding Hendry yet he has proved a decent acquisition

    We have the money.

Paying a couple million or so for him.and taking the risk is not an issue.

Other areas will still be strengthened. I think people are focusing too much on the player as he stands. At 23 I think Rodgers can take his game to another level.
