I think sometimes people are choking to be annoyed by him. Each to their own of course.

All the talk about him hinting at leaving after the match and how it was terrible he say such things, whilst just responding to a journo on the pitch. The match winner himself, Bale, also made comments that hinted of leaving. But that’s fine...

 

The only thing that does my * in about it, is how he pretty much fails to acknowledge the team around him every time and seeing that they are only reason he has these accomplishments is just a tad dickish

 

Ronaldo is an absolute *, there’s no getting away from that... amazing player but a egotistical, narcissist who would eat his own *..

 

Yeah I see that mate, very self-centred, he has acknowledged his teammates today on social media. But on the pitch you rarely see or hear it.

I was quite amazed he got away with punching that guy in a bar when it was on camera. A normal person would be found guilty of assault with such damning evidence. Just shows what a good expensive lawyer can do.

How on earth did he get £300.000 legal aid? I thought that was for folk who couldn't afford decent defence?

It's a pity to read Liverpool fans are suggesting Gerrard is going to perform Brendan like transformations, in fact he'd have to be even better than Brendan who arrived with a decent bunch of players. Do the Liverpool fans not remember it was Brendan who was going to win them the league and Gerrard who * it up?

Plus where is he going to get the money? Surely they must've told him before he signed that they are currently skint. Unless there's something happening behind the scenes and Angel Investors are going to fly over from America.

Och I guess he is a legend there so the fans are just over excited but it's a bit silly to expect a rookie to be the new Guardiola. Probably just a few fans too as they do know their football in Merseyside.

I read some crazy rumours he was going to attract top players who are near the end of their career like Rooney and get them for peanuts. I can't see that happening at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gerrard doesn't last long, not because of failure but it's a total mess of a boardroom he'll have to deal with.

McGuire is it Kenny Dalglish you seen on the BBC? Was he pure gutted? Madrid where overwhelming favourites so it was expected. Mind you, it must've been soul destroying seeing that hackmaster Ramos take out their talisman. Knew it was game over then.

 

Can’t agree with you there, mate. I’ve seen numerous examples of him petulantly throwing his arms in the air when not receiving the ball. I’ve seen him not celebrate when others score and even when he does celebrate, you can tell he’s jealous.

 

I just cannot take to the guy, though I loved him when he first came through.

 

Aye you're probably right but I said earlier the CL was the biggest game. Reason I said that was it has the most concentrated amount of talent in the top 6 teams.

Also the fact Scotland haven't been in it for ages has dulled my interest in it a little. It's almost too much football with the amount of teams as well now if there can be such a thing.

I was gutted for Messi in the last one. It was bad timing for him coming back from injury. Still convinced they should have got a penalty. It's too late for Argentina now I think although they do seem to produce good quality players consistently. For some reason a lot of folk saying he can't be considered the best if he doesn't win it. I disagree.

As a kid though it's every footballers dream to play for their country in the World Cup and in some countries they dream of winning it. I can't believe we didn't qualify for the 66 tournament. We would have had a great chance of winning that.
