    Twitter rounds saying the club is in advanced talks for a new 3/4 year deal.
    Good news after a couple weeks ago saying talks had stalled.

    He's playing for the Socceroos over here in Austria on June 1, so ill be there fanboying like * and demanding details on if he's signed :brendy:

    Hope that is the case. To be honest with me it is more about losing so many players in one go. If it was just him leaving, I would be happy with £12m but rumours about so many of our players.

    If we could get him to sign even a year extension before the world cup and he ends up shop windowing himself with some good performances, at least we're in a position to get a decent fee.

    That's assuming he wants away now or in the near future, obviously want him to stay.

    Could see a sort of Petrov 'deal' done befor ehe leaves for international duty.
    Almost like - here sign this contract, and if you play well at the WC and a BIGGER club comes in and matches our valuation, we will accept it.

    If he's looking for a 4/5m pound contract he's worth it as it would cost us at least that to replace him, and we already need to replace Roberts next season by the looks of it.

    Yeah £4-5m might not even cut it. He's got them Nakamura magician feet that are too rare to sell him. Would rather he left on a free at the end of another 4 years than go for a big fee now. Players like this don't come around often
