I don't think so. His decline has been marked and it's not like he's been playing through injury. I think we're witnessing the genuine decline of a player. It happens to everyone and we shouldn't deny what is obvious just because he is a likeable player who has contributed enormously to our recent successes.

I like him, and he still has a role to play, but if we harbour serious ambitions of improving then right back is an area that needs addressing.

 

If he rinsed stupid gifs of pilot Lustig giving the thumbs up with Brown you'd be jealous and raging but still want to stick your wee * up his batty.

I think he’s making stupid mistakes and that’s not down to his body failing him. That’s down to form for me.

Let’s face it Lustig's been past it at least 2 years now and even if he wasn’t we’d still need cover like we still need left back cover.

Don’t know how long on his contract but he should be allowed to leave with dignity in good spirits as he’s been a bargain free transfer.

I’d make right back our priority position in the summer, spend at least 4 million on it unless we find another cheap gem.

 

Still got another couple of good years left, by all means get someone to battle it. Out with him, can't say I think Ralston is the answer. Same with backup LB.

The thing I notice about Lustig is how poor his left foot is. When he cuts in on it and tries to cross it/lump it up the park, it looks like hitting it with his left is the most difficult thing in the world for him.
