Someone on a thread earlier, which I cannot find, was talking about e-mailing the various media outlets, bith distancing ourselves from Rangers and reminding them of Celtics impeccable record while on away duty in europe.

I dummied something up quickly to send, would like your opinions on it.

Obviously, dont rip it to * !!!! lol.

Seriously, anything that might also want to go on there let me know, it is my intention to send this later tonight !! Also anything that needs left out, or grammer errors, feel free !!

Hmmmm. Something tells me all the press already know this and our record speaks for itself. Is this really needed? We have a worldwide reputation.

well written though with only a couple of spelling mistakes. Well done. :)

I understand why celtic fans are loving this stuff about the trouble in manchester, the truth is its a great way to hammer your rivals but it is however extremely hypocritical.

Celtic fans on the whole are no different than rangers. It doesnt take long for any half intelligent soul to provide images and facts supporting this rationale.

For example when you see footage of riots in N.ireland or even as recently as dublin, a significant number of those involved are seen to be wearing Celtic shirts ? There are hours of clips on youtube showing both sets of fans perpetrating countless acts of sectarianism. Its true that those involved in the manchester trouble are animals but then most rangers fans would share that view.

The facts are that in truth most clubs have an unsavoury element and they are the ones who overshadow the good and hog the headlines. At the same time its human nature for anyone who doesnt like rangers in the first place to use this as an opportunity to vilify them as a whole, thats just life.

The situation in Manchester was unique in the fact that it was probably the most people gathered together for any sporting event ever in the uk (estimates of 200,000) and the plans for it were'nt even close to sufficient leading to chaos and safety being compromised which in turn led to madness by several hundred fans caught up in the mayhem.

As ive experienced before on this site i dont anticipate many agreements, but i know many rangers fans also and they are no different from any other fans , theres just more of them than most. I just keep thinking if we were in the same situation with the same numbers, would it have been any different?

i appreciate the sentiment but what difference do you actually think it will make? do you think the papers or uefa or sky tv will make statements saying "we would like everyone to know that rangers fans are scum while celtic fans are not"?

Firstly im a celtic man and dont want to be flagging up instances which unnecessarily show the dark elements of our own support.

I understand that most anti rangers people will use this great opportunity to further inflict damage on them and see why they will.

The point i was making though is if you are honest, can you truthfully tell me that celtic doesnt have a lot of supporters that are equally as bad?

As i said before i have witnessed many things from so called celtic supporters which i dont wish to go into and there is bundles of footage/articles/police stats etc that prove it.

A few hundred people got involved it was reported in manchester. If as reports suggest there were 200'000 people there then i'd say that was the minority.

To try and demonize all things rangers and make out that all rangers fans are monsters in an effort to make celtic fans look like angels is actually very naive and doesnt fool most people, in fact it often has the opposite effect.

It happens everywhere, speak to Barcelona fans and they will ridicule real madrid fans, speak to Man utd fans and they demonize scousers and so on and so on. We are all more or less the same.

Im not trying to be pro rangers or defend the perpetrators in anyway, but i am a person who tells it as it is and dont let things like emotions get in the way of facts thats all.
