To say some Irish people aren’t happy is an understatement

Have they, thats not a surprise I suppose. Naw been a few fuds on twatter, don't know why I bother with it.

 

The worst I’ve seen is from a guy I know through friends, on twitter.

Follows Ireland all over the place and all that and goes to the home games too. Put a tweet up earlier saying he was “disgusted” about the match and especially because it was all for “that * Scott Browne” - a testimonial game where he will be donating money to charity and to the family of a recently passed away former Irish International.

He followed it up with another tweet of a pic with the sign “Where in Ireland is Glasgow?”. This same * supports Chelsea.

Honestly man, some people are so stupid it’s unreal.

 

Ffs, what a * he sounds.

 

I honestly had no idea some of their support had these views * rockets!

Is it the newer generation who are hitting out with this *?

You all need to get it out of your head that all Irish football followers love Us.

Some love Us, some hate us- get over it.

I'm sure those who are not fond of the idea will be happy enough for the Irish lads to bring back a few Celtic songs and change the words for Ireland games.

 

Don't think he is mate but you should see some of the * on other Celtic forums. Basically looking for a financial breakdown of exactly where every penny is going

Don’t think so. Maybe to some extent but I think it’s more a case of the internet giving these blowhards a platform to express their idiocy.

 

Somebody made a very valid point earlier. With Jackie Mac’s testimonial I can’t remember anything even close to this reaction.

I think this is another example of social media’s influence, keyboard warriors, sheep who follow (follow), a certain club’s position, and of course the deep rooted anti-Irish undercurrent that still exists in this “multicultural” country of ours. Broony is demonised in the same way Lenny was but they have never had the ammo for the Irish/Catholic part with Broony, now they are clutching at straws with this announcement and going into overdrive.

And they call us obsessed.

A quick look on there and yep, another week and another 1 or 2 new thread's about Broony on it..

Imagine we had new thread's every week on their captain. I genuinely don't even know who it is now..

I definitely think a big factor will have been Liam Miller's passing (although that will be glossed over by the mutants) and to do something in amongst what is Broony's day. So what if it was sounded out for him. If he didn't want to play Ireland then it wouldn't be happening. He'll have had the final say..

So no teams from those leagues would be mustering up a team to send. Every * will be on holiday.

Hibs? - Already played them enough.

Scotland XI? Broony Select? Yeah, maybe, why not?
