I've heard he was most likely Welsh.

I always believed Wales as that was taught to us in Primary. He also has connections with Cornwall and West of Scotland. He was raised on his fathers farm and in his writing mentions Brittani. This leads historians to conclude Britain or a Brittani tribe in Northern France. I could be misinformed but I know there is a fair bit of mystery around young Patsy.

There's a story that the town I'm from robbed and ate a goat of his while he was on St Patrick's island off the coast, he apparently cursed the whole town to only be able to bleat until they consciously admitted they robbed the poor thing.

Local football and other sports clubs have a goat as their crest today :giggle1:

Watch the ‘northern Irish’ go mental when they realise he was a Catholic Brit :giggle1:

Do Unionists celebrate St Patrick’s Day? Always figured they wouldn’t, but with it being a bank holiday there...

It must be an interesting experience though, given that everywhere else associates it with ‘Irishness’ and they try their best to convince everyone and themselves that they aren’t Irish.

How would they even celebrate it? Would they sit about wearing green, drinking Guinness and listening to The Dubliners like everyone else?

Rugby tops instead of Celtic/GAA tops, and basically getting pished!

It’s only really the hardcore Loyalists that deny everything ‘irish’. Plenty unionists accept the northern Irish place in Irish history but identify as British.

Fair enough! I’m presuming as time goes on, more and more will start celebrating it, which can only be a good thing really.

    nope

Canadian far right activist who claimed 'Allah is gay' gets lifetime ban from coming to the UK
    • Lauren Southern, 22, said she received a lifetime ban from entering the UK
    • The Canadian activist had handed out 'racist' leaflets in Luton in February
    • The posters proclaimed 'Allah is a gay *' and 'Allah is trans'
    • Southern said in a video Thursday the whole incident was a 'social experiment'
