If he wasn't ours he wouldn't be half the leader or player he is now. This club has been the making of him and by * has he embraced it. He could have taken the EPL pound many a time I'm sure but for his loyalty, endeavour, integrity not to mention quality he will go down as one of our legends. Something money cannot buy. I love him as a player now but Lambert and Lennon were both better. Be shocked if he'd have made the squad back then.

 

Different player to those two but I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t have been able to make a mark in that team, although Lennon is probably my third favourite ever player at Celtic and Lambert would be right up there too so I don’t want to decide who to drop.

Brown definitely would have been in the squad though, we had a great core of about 14 then but didn’t have a huge amount of depth.

We’ve actually been blessed with good central midfielders for as long as I can remember.

 

That today is why we miss Brown when he's not in the team, it's so hard to find a player like that nowadays, playing like he's just reached his prime, class.

 

He'd have made the squad no bother in the O'Neill team imo people forget Lambert was quite injury prone and barely featured in the last couple of seasons he was here.

I love Scott Brown but he's not the player Lennon or Lambert was for us. They two were fantastic players in their position. Brown probably a better servant and he's been great. But id always pick those two first. Excuse the drunken ramblings haha

 

The more hate people throw at him, the stronger he gets.

You know what else? When Brown had taken the hits, KT was right in there telling the Aberdeen boys what's what. We need more like those two. * lions, the pair of them.
