Scott Sinclair!

I’d start him v Zenit defo..

 

He's comfortably twice the player that Samaras was.

 

He rarely gets the ball out of his feet and takes strides when he’s dribbling. It’s always these wee tippy tappy touches and he eventually trips up over himself or runs into someone.

He did the same yesterday with that 1 on 1. His first touch never got the ball out of his feet.

Just knew he was going to miss that when he received the pass. He scores plenty but his finishing leaves a lot to be desired.

 

In your opinion. For me on his day Samaras was much the better player.

Samaras was pish 90% of his time here, his ability is exaggerated to *. In my opinion of course.

 

Just playing a wee bit devil's advocate between @doogs and @St.Matt, on his day as Lenny once said Sammy was unplayable, equally Sinky is the same but on the whole, consistently wise Sinky is better.

I don' think you get 80 odd caps for your country if your pish and if memory serves me he is one of or top European scorers. Definiely had the ability to frustrate but in saying that if anybody has frustrated me this season it's Sinclair by a long shot.

Samaras was always a divisive figure here and I know some fans just never took to him but if we'e going on pure ability Sammy trumps Sinclair for me.

Sinclair has been the better player in domestic football by some distance, but he has yet to put in a European performance anywhere close to Samaras’ best ones.

I would go as far as to say that Ronny’s failure to qualify for the Champions League once in three attempts was at least in part due to the loss of one of our top European goalscorers. Even in the games in which he didn’t score goals, he contributed (winning the penalty at home to Spartak Moscow, for instance).

 

Samaras has 13 European goals for us, over 6 and a half seasons. Sinclair has 6 goals in Europe this season alone.

I agree though, on the big occasions Sammy turned it on. It's what made him all the more frustrating.

 

Who do you think had/has more ability though?

 

Sinclair. I rated Samaras and I realise both have frustrated at times during their Celtic careers, but Sinclair's consistency wins it for me. The biggest criticism of both is the exact same for me, they fluff a lot of one on ones.
