Can you show me where i called him the MIDFILED messiah ya clown
    No your talking bollocks :bbpd:

I don't have green tinted specs, and wouldn't care if Hartley has a season ticket for Ipox mate.

What i see from him is effort, guts, passion and commitment.
Donati has NONE of them.

As i advised you earlier, don't mix alcohol with prescription drugs :50:

If effort, guts, commitment and passion is enough to get u a game for Celtic, why dont u just stroll round Celtic Park handin out jerseys to fans?

    No, your right.

Donati is a brilliant player, much better than Hartley

Again if u take 30 seconds to read my posts properly you'll see i never said that either.

Wot i said was i dont think Hartleys any better and I would gladly have a goalscoring threat like Gravesen in our team than either of them.

Headless chicken? doesnt listen to instructions? whatever, we beat every SPL team one after another at the start of last season on a record breaking run and turned over Man U, all with Gravesen at the heart of the team banging in goals. He had some crap games yeah but so does everyone else.

We need a leader in the middle and while Hartley or Donati are capable of being 'decent', neither of them is the answer.

are you saying that gravesen is more of a leader than hartley. get a grip. hartley was vice-captain at hearts and has leadership qualities. gravesen isnt capable of leading a flock of sheep. as for replacing hartley with gravesen because "I would gladly have a goalscoring threat like Gravesen", then you obviously dont understand modern football in which most teams have at least one defensive minded midfielder. having gravesen ambling about the pitch and robson or brown would leave a massive hole. THINK!

    No

Neither of them is a leader, WGS needs to go out and get us one as Lennon hasnt bn replaced. Hartley had his chance in the advanced role last season and was *, plain and simple. Try and remember one useful contribution he made in front of Lennon in the middle? Zilch. Nothing. Whereas Gravesen scored 6 goals in 18 starts, was man of the match on his debut at Pittodrie and twice against the huns, yet he's portrayed as the village idiot. Yeh he had some * games but he was always a threat.

Now WGS is trying to justify the signing of Hartley by playing him as a DM, which he's not. Hartley was given man of the match at fir park in the 4-1 game despite causing the goal, randomly booting the ball out for a corner and twice being caught on the ball in the second half fannying about (if u dont believe any of that watch the highlights again). If Donati had done any of that he would be slaughtered.

Where are his leadership qualities? I dont see them. He aint vocal on the pitch, quick or skillful and doesn't score goals, and as for being a defensive midfielder, is he anywhere near as good as Keane, Lennon or Lambert??

Sorry, cant fault the guy for effort, but he aint the answer for me.

it sounds like you've never played football. what Hartley does is subtly brilliant.

if you say he doesn't read the game well, you haven't been watching him. so far you've named 45 mins of poor play by him. he has been one of our most consistant performers.

I agree he has looked tired in the last few but Hartley was fantastic earlier in the season and for me is better than the last-legs lenny of his final two seasons. Not as good as peak lenny and certainly not as good as peak lambo but very decent nevertheless and doubt we would get much better without shelling ot 4 or 5 million. Only problem with Hartley is he seems to have an ongoing fitness issue. Not sure what it is but there seems to be some sort of niggling problem.

Rossenspeil, i hope your watching the hibs game, because Hartley is doing his usual routine this season of reading the game.

I was there, and yeah he had a good game, as did a few others.

My point is this, yes he's 'decent', yes he's passionate, yes he's commited, but is that all it takes to play for Celtic? I think his mistakes are often ignored by fans whereas Donati or Sno get slaughtered for every mistake they make.

Not the answer for me, Lennon still hasnt been replaced.
