    It's not doom, mate.

We are having another great season, the stats don't lie. In terms of performance though, we've been way off too often and it's clear we need some fresh talent to not only give some of the fans a lift but also the squad in general. Esepecially looking ahead to the Zenit game and the qualifiers again.

After everything Rodgers has said about getting quality, this window being a 'revolving door' and the money we have brought in, not to strengthen would be a joke, tbh. Roberts and Rogic will be a huge boost when they return you're correct, 100%, but that isn't the point!

It's hardly doom. It's just fans reasonably expecting that after coffers swelling substantially in the last 18 months that we might see that being extended to seeing increased investment in the playing squad.

I agree with you 100%, but one thing worth keeping in mind is how exponentially transfer fees have also increased in that same 18 months. My fear is that Brendan and his scouting team are fishing in the wrong pond by looking down south.

Yeah there might be some truth in that but we've also been a beneficiary of those exponential transfer fees to the tune of £7.5million. He's signed Eboue from Russia and Compper from Germany so it's not exclusively England we're looking at.

BRENDAN Rodgers turns 45 today (Friday), but there will be precious time for birthday celebrations as he ensures his charges are fully focused on the visit of Hibernian tomorrow.

“It’s on a Friday, and on the Friday before a game I will be pretty focused on the game,” the Celtic manager explained. “I will be in here working and getting ready for Hibs and then in the afternoon I will be at the stadium.

“I will then go home, where I have some family coming over for the game, and then we will look forward to the game. I am 45 years young and time goes quickly as you get older, so you intend to enjoy it that bit more.”

When he said 'We have to', it was a clear statement of intent. If we end up not signing anyone to improve the squad, the board will have let Rodgers down.

That’s what I’m afraid of most tbh because he won’t stay around for long under those circumstances.

I'd be happy if they pushed the boat out and brought in Musonda this window..permanently or some sort of buy deal.

That would be ok for most I feel, but you can expect the negatives if it was just a 4 month loan deal.

    He'd be some signing IMO.

For a guy like Musonda who seems to have all the skills you need it’s abot desire. Ntcham has the desire to come up here play for a few years then will get his big move. Problem with most of these Chelsea lads is they get paid sickening amount of money off them and they think they are better than they are.

He fits the profile of what were doing as a club ..but would also go straight into the team .

    I * dread the day he goes....:55:

    Nice gesture from the club!
