McFadden vows to stay at Birmingham Hahaha!

Scotland star James McFadden has vowed to remain at Birmingham even if they are relegated from the Barclays Premier League this weekend.
McFadden, 25, signed a three-and-a-half year deal when he joined from Everton in January and insists he would not seek a quick exit if Blues suffer the drop. Alex McLeish's men must pick up at least a point against Blackburn and better both Fulham and Reading's results this weekend to retain their top flight status.
McFadden said: "I haven't really given my own situation much thought, although there is obviously a good chance we could go down. I have only just arrived at the club and I'm not looking to leave in a hurry."
He continued: "Hopefully we will get the right result on Sunday, we stay up, and I won't need to worry about anything."
McFadden has been named the inaugural Scottish Football Writers' International Player of the Year.
And he added: "I don't think playing in the Championship would affect me in terms of Scotland.

"If I'm playing every week and scoring goals, it shouldn't make a difference what level I'm playing at." ( yer right hahahahaha :bbpd

i dont understand why ur laffing at the guy its not like he made a decision not to come to celtic in favour of birmingham.

 

normally i love to see some loyalty from footballers but i'd love it if faddy joined us. he's right about it not affecting his international career, scotland dont have many players as good as him

He wasn't getting a game at Everton previously and then left to go to Birmingham for first team football. Or do you mean prior to Everton?

 

I "MEAN" he went to chase £ signs instead of coming to a football club he supports Ie. Celtic where he could have won trophies, played in europe and have "first team" football.....

 

He never had a choice, we never bid for him, except to loan him which was rejected.

It's true. He stated his desire to play for Celtic, but we didn't offer the right kind of money. Teams, not footballers, dictate where a player goes.

He's the type of guy who can do somethin special in a game when u need it, i would love him in the hoops. You can never have too many players like that.
