The hernia completely explains his form imo.

Depending on how long he’s had it, I still think the start of the season was down to the contract situation. Lately though? Aye it’d explain a lot.

He might have had it longer than he thinks. Contract situation definitely played its part too though.

A hernia doesn't stop you attempting ridiculous long range shots in attempt to impress potential EPL suitors..

He was much more of a team player last season, seems to me it's been all about him this season, so far..

A hernia would affect performance but not his decision making.

Which - if known by Brendan - makes the decision to start him ahead of Ntcham against the huns all the more indefensible.

TBF his goal against Thistle is in my top 3 goals of the season so far for celtic, with tierney vs killie and griifiths vs ross county ahead of it was a peach of a striker from the angle!

He has got a good strike on him no doubt but he appears to be shooting a lot more. Seems like he's out to headline grab and impress rather than being the teammate we know he can be..

The cynic in me saying he wanted the op in January so he'd be here till the summer and in an even stronger position on where he'll go next :fear:

STUART ARMSTRONG is set to hand Celtic a Euro boost by returning for next week’s showdown with Zenit St Petersburg.

The Scotland midfielder’s rehab from a hernia op is on schedule and he hopes to be fit for Thursday’s Europa League first leg.

Armstrong has missed Celtic’s last four games and his return will be welcomed by Brendan Rodgers.

He's been pish all season so not exactly a massive boost going by current form.

Really needs to up his game. Like a few do, tbh.

Nah he can get *, the performance against anderlecht was unacceptable beyond words, many where poor that night but his attitude was a disgrace, you can have bad games but he literally took the * that night didn't even look like he was trying or cared, rather keep Kouassi in the team. Sell as soon as possible
