Rather than a mega overhaul i'd like us to actually use the squad we have. Gamboa, Henderson, Bitton, Benyu, Kouassi, De Vries, are not world beaters but should be played more, 1) to reduce fatigue of the first XI and 2) to show players that they can and will be dropped if they play *. I swear Armstrong and Boyata have played almost every game this season despite both being largely terrible.

Not to mention some of the youngsters like Miller, Aitchison and Johnstone should be getting game time. It's counter intuitive to just play the same team each week, Rodgers' biggest failing is his loyalty to certain players and lack of rotation.

In the January window I would like to see us splash a bit of cash on a right back, a winger who can play either side and a playmaker. Spend about £10 million on them, all players who can slot straight into the first team. We would then be in a good position to go into next seasons qualifiers then could maybe make a couple additions to suit which competition we will be in, hopefully champions league. Think the winter break will do the players the world of good too !!

From a position of strength you need to continue to strengthen and not stand still.

In regards to spending in January, I'd still rather we added another centre back, more than any other position.

An overhaul is a bit drastic. However I'd like to see a confident CB and a keeper come in.

My opinion is that these players have worked their nads off since BR took over and although he has managed to get the very best out of them, there's a limit to what can be achieved with this squad because they're not the top players we'd all like to see at the club and the amount of games they've played has obviously caught up with them....even the best would struggle with the schedule Celtic have had to face due to the success's
we've had..... remember Lou Macari, Liam Brady, Tony Mowbray and John Barnes' teams ?.....I'd take this scenario any day..... that's not to say I don't think we need better players, of course we do but it's worth remembering that we've seen way darker days than a 0-0 draw against that mob

I'd prefer to play Ralston, Johnston and Christie instead in these positions (domestically). See how they get on in the first instance.

Use the cash for a goalkeeper, since I don't think we have anyone anywhere near challenging for the #1 jersey.

Tell you what, Ntcham looked a cut above anyone on that park today (except Brown). Class act....

No doubt brednan needs more of his.own signings in that starting 11. But let's not go doing what Mowbray did and start bad mouthing and downplaying a group that has a decent amount of success in the past. These things have to be gradual. I hope Brendan get to make hisnstamp over the next two windows but no need to go for wholesale changes. Mind as much as the likes of boyata can frustrate the life out of us, I would much sooner a boyata on the bench than a Josh Thompson.

    Not really an overhaul.

I'd like a few ready made players rather than just young long term projects.
Surely there's a handful of experienced players available thru Europe in the 3-6 range?

See that wee run with a shimmy and turn. Lost two Huns in the centre with that. Very little movement ahead of him to capitalise.

But he's been fantastic in most games so far this season.....I just can't get my head around your assessment that he should be first out the door.....surely you don't mean that but if you do then it's your opinion and that's that....happy new year when it comes mate

OK first out the door is rash. I just think it’s time we looked to the future with our team. Alls am saying is that I don’t see the point in building around and ageing CM. If Broonie were at another club we wouldn’t be looking to bring him in would we? We’d be looking at their younger players - players we can build around.

There’s my penny’s worth mate. Have a good one!

Historically something we have failed to do in my opinion.

My take on it is we certainly don't need a massive overhaul of players for any domestic honours. But to progress in Europe we 100% need quality and that has to with the the defensive positions. For me specifically right back and a solid centre half.
