Robson Rules, to say Naka has no bottle is one of the worst off the mark comments ever on here. On the biggest of stages the wee man has shown more bottle than any in a Celtic jersey. Remember the 1-0 game at home against Manure? The biggest of stages and the biggest pressure. I put it to you that maybe Robbo wouldn't have the bottle on that stage, for that we will need to wait and see. Pish thread tbh.

then why did he WANT to take it then?
why did he step up against man utd from 30 yards and take a direct free kick?
why did he try something diffrent other than the top right hand corner for the goal that won the league?
why did he rifle it from 30yards in open play against rangers?

    bottler? don't think so.

What about the open play goal he scored against the orange blue nose animals a few matches ago. Of course hitting a ball from that kind of range proves he has self confidence.

he's had a below par season but look at the video by odette look how frequent he is there. every player is allowed a few off games but he has been off the pace for quite a few games. i think he is shattered maybe the euro will give him a good rest

My team is Celtic. Why are people on this forum so paranoid? You can't even question Naka without being accused of being a Rangers fan. It defies belief at times.

To answer the question, his performance against Rangers two weeks ago was great, but how often does he play that well from open play in big games. As I said earlier: Will he continue like this, or will he go on another bottle job run in his next 6 or 7 big games?

He's right, you can't accuse people of being the scum just like that.
But, Nakamura is a player with confidence, and he has proven that many times, bringing us points in crucial moments.

What about last season and the season before that, you forget too quickly.

Your bias for Robson is unreal. What will you say if Robson has a poor game against the Well?

Robson's played a handfull of games. he's done fantastic. has he proved himself as well as naka has? no.
naka's a winger. robson play's in the middle in the genral run of things, robson WILL see more of the ball.

he has the confidence in his team to let someone else take the penelty
he has the confidence to take freekicks when he isn't having a great game
he has the confidence to hit a shot from 30yrds and not pass like most ppl

Why does this have to turn into a Robson v Naka debate? They are playing in the same team in different positions and providing completely different attributes and it's working.

The midfield dynamic now is as good as it has been in years and that inludes the bottler that is Naka, who won the first Rangers game single handedly.

naka is a wonderful footballer who can change a game in a second, he has a great eye for a killer pass and for scoring , this term has not been a great season for him ,but hes never had a rest like the rest last summer when he was playing rite threw the summer ,but the last 3 games hes back to the player we know he is ,and i would say also he has toghened up as well he will put the boot in ,i dont know were your coming from ,if your comparing robson and naka ,dont bother there job desciption is totally different ,naka is the flair player and robson is a grinder and holding player ,who allows guys like naka to do his job ,thats why naka is playing well at the moment due to the hard work that robson is doing naka is benefiting and getting to play football again

Its a cultural thing. Nakamura knows his strengths and recognises where others are stronger in certain roles and situations. He prefers to subjugate himself for the good of the team and is content to put his ego to one side, for the greater good of Celtic. He also knows when he is the best man for the particular job as he has shown on many occasions;Man U,Kilmarnock etc.
Robson is different. He is a 'heart on the sleeve' leader on the park, a more typical Scottish player who acts instinctively and thinks about it later. He is willing to take responsibility and despite the fact he isn't as technically gifted as Naka , there was nobody better equipped to take that penalty.
