It's almost like the car crash you know you shouldn't look at, but you do.

I really want to see the kid do well, I'd love not to hear about him for 2 years, then find out anderlecht signed him and he was scoring in the champions league again, netting 30goals a season and then a Liverpool or something came in for him. We see him closer to home and realise he has cleaned his act up, became a model professional and goes on to have a great 5 years at Liverpool before a final few seasons in France or something.

But that ain't going to happen.

It * well could happen, he has the ability. But we know it won't.

Then you have his twitter moments and this godawful "watt2watch" nonsense. Clearly must have been pals with Simon ferry or something and thought a wee nod in to the presenting /media industry could be a good fall back (probably because he knows himself he ain't going to make the money from football to see him good). But he has zero charisma or personality for that sort of gig as well.

Kid really needs a proper look at himself and wake the * up.

That what to watch *... he needs to spend his tine fully commited to football. Watch games and analyse the best strikers.

Practice different moves at home and control, as ronaldo use to. Hed turn up to training with new tricks and things to try.

Instead he watches movies and writes * about them. Idiot. Throwing it all away.

TONY Watt lived the Celtic dream. He played for the club he always supported and scored one of the most memorable goals in Hoops history when, at the age of 18, he netted a sensational winner against the mighty Barcelona on an unforgettable, exhilarating UEFA Champions League night in Paradise … a shot that was heard around the world.

That was on November 7, 2012. Less than two years later, and after 33 first-team appearances, Watt departed his boyhood heroes and joined Standard Liege on a permanent deal. He left with no regrets, keen for a fresh challenge outside of the Glasgow goldfish bowl.

The Scotland internationalist is now back in Belgium, joining ambitious second-tier side, OH Leuven, in the summer following spells with Charlton Athletic, Cardiff City, Blackburn Rovers and Hearts.

Enjoying his new surroundings, he’s relishing the opportunity to get his career back on track after an injury-disrupted 18 months and help his new club achieve their goal of promotion to the Belgian top flight. Still only 23-year-old, he’s determined to prove he retains the ability to thrive at the highest level.

Although he’s many miles away from Paradise and doesn’t play for the club, Watt has lost none of his passion for Celtic and closely follows their progress, and he is absolutely delighted at their sensational success under Brendan Rodgers. Ahead of tonight’s UEFA Champions League contest with Anderlecht, the matchday programme caught up with the former Celtic striker.

Anderlecht now have a new manager and seem to have improved since Celtic won over in Brussels at the end of September. What kind of test do you think they will pose tonight?
Before the away game, I had said not to write off Celtic as they are looking to do well and under Brendan Rodgers, the players are playing well. To get into Europe after Christmas would be an amazing achievement. A lot of people write Scottish football off but I told all the boys here that Celtic have a lot of Premier League-quality players and they can only beat who is in front of them and they do an amazing job of that. They go into Europe and have shown themselves well and hopefully they can get a result in the last game.

So what are the main strengths of the Anderlecht side?
They are a good team and they have some quality players. I played with Adrien Trebel in the middle and he is a very good player. He is really tenacious but he can play football as well. They have a lot of top players and so have Celtic. People just underestimate them. I honestly fancy Celtic to win again as I believe, man-to-man, they have a better team and manager as well.

What have you made of Celtic’s successes under Brendan Rodgers?
It’s unbelievable what they have achieved. Watching from afar, you would never have predicted it. You can see how the team has changed in such a short space of time. He has got people like Jamesy Forrest back firing and people playing at their best. He has come in and set the world alight. It has looked like the perfect fit since he has come in. I’m buzzing for the boys. I still speak to Jamesy and I have spoken to a few of other lads. I knew how good these players were, but some the boys I played with had the season of their lives last season. It’s incredible the run they are on, which is still going. It’s incredible the amount of trophies they are winning, and if they get six points out of 18 in the UEFA Champions League it would be fantastic achievement as well, with PSG and Bayern in the group.

What’s your prediction for the score in Paradise tonight?
Celtic would take a draw to guarantee it but I think they will be too strong for Anderlecht. All-round, they play better football and I think they will win 2-0, get the clean sheet and three points – happy days!

People are saying hes the biggest waste of talent to play for Celtic, what is this based on? Yes he scored against Barca but that doesnt make him a potential superstar, i didnt see a * of a lot else from him to suggest he was going to be something special. Derek Riordan was a far better player and finisher than Watt ever was but never fulfilled his potential.

I liked him and never got that, either. When McGeady broke through you could see there was a real player there, somebody who could go on to really big things for the club and throughout his own career. Never got that with Tony Watt. Did he ever show any more potential than a Mark Burchill?

I don't understand why some people seem to be mad at him. Yes, he didn't fulfill his potential (not matter how low you think his potential is) but he left on good terms, never did a Islam Feruz, bashed the team or teammates in the press. It's honestly someone that I wish all the best for.

He'll be back in Scotland no doubt..

St Mirren would be a good move for him just now under a good coach, out the spotlight and playing first team football, winning a league..

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Dundee/St Johnstone or something though..

I think he has to come back to Scotland if he is to salvage his career. Dundee United or St. Mirren could be a good fit just now.

Why would any club sign this guy when he clearly doesn't want to be a professional footballer

This boy, biggest waste of talent I've seen Celtic ever produce that I can think of in my lifetime.

Should just hang it up now and focus on his movie reviews.
