    Ian Brines is a *

Sky Sports | Football | Scottish Premier | News | Brines admits to costly error

Sorry if there's already been a thread on this subject - but i just got * * off with something i read and felt the need to vent

Ian Brines the shittest ref in Scotland has come out and said that he got the decision wrong when he dissalowed Aberdeen's last minute 'goal' in doing so has kept us in the title race. For a start, all our defenders stopped when he blew the whistle which allowed Diamond to smash the ball in unchallenged. Secondly - about 4 minutes earlier Killen was penalised for absolutely nothing when flicking it on to Samaras who dispatched a quality finish - why isn't anyone mentioning this. Can anyone remember a time when a ref has come out and said "yep sorry, i hold my hands up, Rangers should never have had than pen - i just kept them in the title race." I think its a * joke - the guy was a disgrace all day and never gave us anything

fact is though, it wasn't a handbal there was no need for the whislte to be blowen. yes the goal happended after the whislte and for that fact it shouldn't have been a goal, point is though- the whilstle should never have went

yeah i agree that it wasn't a handball - but my point is that failing to mention the goal he disallowed us makes it seem like Aberdeen were robbed of a point which simply isn't the case

it was on of the worst ref displays iv seen al season not to mention his diddy linesman aswell. Samaras had the ball in the net twice but no mention of that anywhere, or in the bbc highlights. No wonder we are paranoid.

    * mate where you at the game? As I was not.

However from listening to the radio they where saying prior to the goal a throw in was awarded incorectly to Aberdeen. The comentary went something like. "If Aberdeen score after such a bad decision it will be acontroversial goal". Not to sure is they where talking immiediately before the goal or a minute or two before it. Maybe omeone could clarify?

i was there and it was certainly in the build up if not directly leading up the goal. Point is as i said earlier the ref was * all night sammy put the ball in the net twice allbeit after the whistle but the same has diamond

So if this decision was made correctly the goal would never have happend. Perhaps the ref realised his gaff and decided if a goal was scored he would find a reason to chalk it off.

Should have counted imo. But we have had these things happen to us in the past, more times than i care to remember, so when we get a bit of luck like this we should take it.

good to see the ref being honest, but how many refs have come out and admitted that they've gave the huns decisions they shouldn't have? think this will work to our disadvantage as some other refs may look to "even things up"

Indeed. Fair enough with refs being honest about making mistakes but if its only SOME refs SOME of the time I think this can cause more problems than every ref keeping schtum.

not being funny but who cares??? its gone, we won. If he's come out with that then fair play to him for admitting a mistake. I'd rather focus on the fact we've got a huge game this w/e

totally agree. The paranoid crew only ever mention bad breaks and never acknowledge the lucky ones. Swings and roundabouts. We have had a few lucky breaks this season as well as the bad stuff.

I don't think anyone is denying the ref shouldn't have blown in the build up, everyone is upset that Sammy had a good goal disallowed moments earlier which hasn't been mentioned by anyone in the aftermatch.

swings and roundabouts - they balance out. As Martin says, sometimes the 'theyre all against us' thing gets out of hand.
