A difficult start for Hayes, but I still think he's a good player who will offer plenty to us over the course of the season. I think too many are too quick to write him off.

It must be a bit of a shift going from a club where you've been the star man for 3 or 4 years, to a club where you're essentially just another guy. It can take a while to find where you fit in and really start to show people what you can bring to the team.

Some players never can, but Paul Hartley is a good example of someone who changed his game in order to find a place in the group. Hayes will probably never be more than back-up in those front 3 positions, but he does offer something different.

I only saw the second half but thought he was very good, some of his crosses were wayward, but some of his runs were excellent.

Needs to get those bursting runs going again as they were excellent for Aberdeen ripping fullbacks apart.

Thought he played well in the second half. The difficulty for him is going to be getting a run of games. He's always going to be behind Sinclair, Roberts and Forrest in the scheme of things

He has been brought in to shore up the team in the league when we have so many matches in short succession. He will probably get a 12-15 starts this season and is more than good enough to give Sinclair a rest especially after the champions league.

We spent 1million on this guy apparently.

May as well have kept GMS to do the same job.

How many minutes has he actually played?

Give the guy a chance before writing him off ffs.

He's played ten matches for us now, and he's started 4/5 of those.

People are simply giving their opinions of him after ten games - which is a reasonable amount of games before giving an opinion.

And not only has he played in ten games for us, he's hardly an unknown. Must have seen him play around 20 times over the last 4 years against us and the huns in matches.

He's a good back-up for Tierney when we can play 3 at the back.

With top players possibly playing 60+ games BR has seen we need more squad rotation, Johnny Hayes fits this category he will never be a go to guy but will do a good job when called upon. Celtic fan who's living the dream, good luck to him.

GMS let us down though, he was a shitebag who worsened the team. Hayes atleast if not playing well is a solid player who will do a decent job, he's a good step up from GMS.

Exactly this.....seemed relatively anonymous 1st half, 2nd half he woke up, kind of strange position where he was a Tierney style wing back....cracked into some brilliant tackles and worked hard to win the ball back....bottom line - would feel relatively happy with him coming in to give someone a rest, but don’t see him starting too many games as first choice..

He is pretty much a utility player for the SPL and early cup games. An important role as He'll be needed when games pile up

I'm happy to give him a fair crack, I could be wrong but I feel like he's been used rather sporadically especially if he's started 4ish games but played in 10.

It will be on record I'm not a fan of the signing but he deserves more time, could see him coming onto a bit of form soon which I have no factual evidence to back it up with obviously.

Think so Aidan, brought up as one and sure all his family are too. If in doubt ask the crow.
