Actually think the price for season ticket holders is okay, bit steep if you're not one

£38 per game is an absolute bargain. You couldn't see an EPL game for anywhere near that. Think of gigs, if you go to see the biggest bands, it's usually about £70 and I reckon it's usually worth that. £38 to see Neymar, Muller and Lewandowski - and not to mention Celtic - in the best football competition in the world is a bargain.

Just because they can do it doesn't make it right. The board should take a good look at the history of the club and what it's supposed to be about instead of pandering only to those who can pay £50 for 90 minutes of football. We are the most financially secure we have ever been.

Have a look at Bundesliga prices. Around €20 for Bayern v Dortmund. I'd rather watch that than any EPL match.

We have the highest income we've ever had and just cleared a considerable chunk off the wage bill with the likes of Commons, Toure, Izzy, Bailly and GMS gone. Let's say the board sell all tickets at £30 that would knock off around £1.4m for the 3 games. Hardly a figure which would ruin any of those plans whilst making it more affordable for the core fanbase.

The tv deal has nothing to do with their pricing. The fan ownership model is responsible. I saw Arsenal v Liverpool in the invincibles season for £12 in the family stand as a concession. Would you pay more to watch the current Arsenal side to the one they had then? The EPL is killing any character it had through soulless money grabbing which strips clubs of their identity. We shouldn't be following that kind of model.

Arsenal would need to pay me for me to ever attend one of their games, sad fact is Celtic is run by businessman and lawell would've been sacked years ago if he wasn't running it the way he is

Haha I get that mate. Was just a good example of the value for money which was available gor what I consider to have been a superior product to what is on offer now. It's all well and good running a tight ship but tge club is supposed to be open to all, not just those who have the financial means to pay some of todays obscene prices.

I used to go to every home game but spending around £100 every 2 weeks for 90 minutes which could be pish isn't something I can afford to do. People want to be able to take their kids but it's becoming implausible for many.

Utter myth as has been exposed many times...refer to Bundesliga thread and others

The stehplatz standing tickets which folk hold up as the barometer at both the clubs you quoted are all season tickets, someone has already put up Bayerns prices for the CL, you might be surprised when you see them

When people think 38 is so high, what are they comparing it with, do some research into what other clubs charge for CL fixtures then make your mind up if we are high, aye we would all like to pay a tenner but sorry that's not practical, realistic or ever likely, some clubs choose to really stripe their fans for these big games, those talking about going to PSG get prepared!!!!!

I appreciate to some 38 is a lot but to some a tenner is a lot, the crux of it is we don't hyper inflate the prices like most clubs for these games and think it's unfair to think we are being ripped off, I think it's more a case of the ones doing the moaning not really knowing the going rate and we are well below it

The club has to maximise income from this seasons campaign. The new qualifying format from next season onwards means that we may struggle to qualify for the champs league proper for some time. In all honesty, it is not feasible for a Scottish club to write off circa £1-2m through ticket costs as a "goodwill gesture."I have no objection to paying the going rate if it means that the money allows us to stay well clear of others domestically.

I think that our future is in the Europa league rather than the champions league with the super powers of European football. As a support we need to realise that the big 5 leagues are attempting to monopolise the champions league and that our only chance of being competitive / credible in Europe in the future is to generate as much money as possible whilst we have this source of income (whilst hoping for a favourable draw unlike this year) whilst continuing with the buy-low sell-high approach that a number of other clubs have used to become top level Europa league sides (think Porto / Benfica).

I believe that the next step for us is to move up a bracket in terms of player recruitment. Whilst the £1-2m market has served us very well (Forster, Wanyama, Van Dijk etc), other clubs in the likes of Belgium, Holland and Scandinavia are also looking to source these same players. The next step is to focus on proven quality and move a level up bringing in only a selected few in the £4-6m bracket (such as Ntcham). The harsh reality is that we are severely hampered by the lack of money available in Scottish football and that the club are reliant on the additional income from European football to support player recruitment.

I'm a ST holder & think £114 is reasonable & £150 is reasonable for non ST holders. The problem i do have is for people taking their kids to the game & getting charge £90. These kids are the future of the club & FAMILY'S are getting out priced for these games

£114 is reasonable for ST holders as they are also paying for the season ticket,CL & any additional cup games they go to, meaning a higher outlay over the season. Most people who will purchase the £150 ticket will not be paying that outlay over a season.

I personally will probably be out about 2k this season for me & my son but it is worth it for the memories even though i don't have a high paying job

Before anybody jumps on it, I'm not saying i'm a better fan than anybody.

Highly doubtful.. club will likely want to stick with package policy to avoid risk of empty seats against anderlecht if the game ends up a dead rubber.

My advice would be to split package cost with a friend or family member and then sort out who attends which game / pays for each ticket if attending all 3 isn't possible.

Didn't mean that all tickets are. I know they have more expensive ones. A quick glance at their bundesliga price list shows tickets at €15 which I'm assuming are for the standing section.

€45 for what I'd call a standard ticket isfar better value than approx £30 for a home spl game. They are paying to watch the likes of Lewa and Robben against Reus etc. We are paying to watch Forrest and Griffiths against Kirk Broadfoot and Steven Whittaker.

Raising to €60 for the champions league is expensive. However, they obviously have far larger running costs than us so a premium is expected.

Paying £50 for ibrox is a much bigger concern. I think the CL package is decent value.
