Astana are a very good team, I watched their entire game with Legia Warsaw and they beat them 3-1 at home.
I still find it incredible that we actually beat them 5-0 at home. And without Dembele and Boyata.

That's what makes this result all the more impressive, they showed in the first 30 mins that they are more than a decent team, we stepped it up a gear in the second half, this was right up there with our best European performances imo.

Yeh they are a good team but without Boyata?Really Ajer would've played well there or Lustig or Tierney,CB was not the problem.Griff being back made the difference, without his influence and movement up front we could ver much have lost.

Outstanding tonight. Once we scored we never looked back. Even at 3-0 we still kept attacking which was good to see.

Fair play, they were * the night though and when Celtic backs lost the ball there's no way you could see them scoring. They had absolutely nothing up front and Kabanaga was brutal. * brilliant

What a * game and what a result. We were nervy until the 1st goal but Astana were still having a go. We were too sloppy in the first half and slow building from the back inviting the pressure on us.

2nd half they started well but never really troubled, our 3rd killed them off and we stepped up another gear. Could see the confidence through the team and it was brilliant.

Griff was outstanding, Moussa has got a major fight to get ahead of Leigh again. Ntcham and Broony bossed the midfield, that pass Ntcham made into Griff for our fourth was class. Sinclair and Forrest caused them all sorts of problems with the pace and Big Tam was fantastic to watch. Jozo and Bitton excellent defending just too many slack passes from them but got away with it.

Having a party in the champions league!

seeing the goals come in at work, i was almost a bit indifferent to it, (in a good way) as I've come to expect this team to get the job done, i feel confident in sayig we are simply a level above the other teams in the champions route right now. it will no doubt properly sink sink in tommorow weve more or less secued group stages of champions league :celt_2::celt_2::celt_2::57:

Was it just me or did anyone else think that Ian Darke * wanted them to score?

A bit ironic that going into this game, I was nervous that Mokin might stand on his head and shut us down in front of goal. After his performance with Karagandy a few years back, I had a small suspicion that he could frustrate our forwards.

    Was I ever wrong...

How they ended up with only 3 yellows is beyond me. Does anyone know who the commentary team were?one of them was doing ma nut in, saying biased * all the time- perfect example was when Sinclair scored and the first thing he says is 'that's surely offside'. Also saying that our first two goals were 'lucky', instead of praising the work rate to get forward, * me off man.

Couldn't agree more! I can see us giving any team in Europe a run for their money this year.
