Ive recently been forced to relocate to, wait for it, Larkhall.Poor * me eh? Well, heres the thing, I need some decent slogans to paint on the road that the "walk" is taking through Larkhall. The papers announced "20,000 Orangemen marching through Larkhall", personally I call this Saturday, or Sunday, or Wednesday etc.etc. Still If we've got most of them in the one place???????? I'm not saying we should, I'm saying we could.............All the best, Rick

type "Larkhall" and "traffic lights" into google, or Larkhall and Subway, you'll get an idea of what I'm up against. It's worse than anyone makes out. It's been quiet for the 2yrs I've been here, but now?OMFG it's beyond the looking glass, I'm so far back in time, I feel like I'm in Brigadoon

Surely a Tim who has had two attempts on his life would want to locate to

    1) somewhere safer ?

    2) where he could trust the community ?

    3) Where his friends and family are ?

    Aye right :bbpd:

This is how it feels to be Celtic
Larkhall is a village in South Lanarkshire, Scotland and is around 18 miles southeast of Glasgow. Larkhall sits on high ground between the River Clyde to the East and the Avon Water to the West.
Larkhall had a population of 15,549 recorded in the 2001 census, and is a typical west of Scotland industrial town, It has been announced by South Lanarkshire council that over 2000 new houses are to be built in the coming years. Larkhall sits on the edge of the scenic Clyde valley and is rapidly turning into a commuter town for Glasgow. The town also has two junior football teams: Larkhall Thistle F.C. and Royal Albert F.C..
Traditionally a mining, weaving and textile town, most of Larkhall's traditional industries have now closed, including the Lanarkshire iron and steel works, leaving many people unemployed.
One of the town's most notable landmarks is the Morgan Glen viaduct standing over the Avon Water. At 170ft, it is the tallest viaduct in Scotland.
Larkhall has six primary schools and one secondary school called Larkhall Academy, which serves the surrounding region, including Stonehouse, Ashgill and Netherburn.
Larkhall lost its railway connection in 1965, the lines through the town having been a victim of the Beeching Axe. Trains returned to the town in December 2005, with the opening of the new Larkhall railway station on the Argyle Line, providing a regular service to Glasgow.
Larkhall is home to snooker player and 2006 World Snooker Championship winner, Graeme Dott.
In popular culture Larkhall is best known for the sectarianism of its residents[1] and in particular their hatred of the colour green, due to its association with Celtic F.C. and the Catholic Church. This has led to things such as the residents repainting park railings from green to red, white and blue (the colours of the Union Jack)[1] and the subwayfast-food franchise in the town changing from the distinctive green of all other branches to black.[1] Although this is a common misconseption as there are several other subways in Glasgow with black signs.[citation needed]Along with there is a large Catholic population in Larkhall, this population is large enough that there is a catholic primary school and chapel located in the town.

Can't see anything wrong with the place.
