Genuinely didn't know Bitton had played that many times at CB in his career so far.

I think Bitton has looked good recently. He is a decent player but his lack of pace is a bit worrying. Not much in it for me.

I can see the flaw in your argument.
Lustig dozen't have any pace. And I think, don't quote me, that Gamboa is injured.

Personally I don't see what Ajer done wrong when he played to have suddenly dropped out of the picture totally.

Must have hitched a ride with Brendan one day and out of sheer excitement lost control of his bowls and shat everywhere in his car.

Nah I think alot of these decisions we don't get are due to how they perform in training.

    I trust Brendan.

Bitton is the more experienced of the two so you would think he is less likely to make a mistake in a CL game, but Fridays penalty call says otherwise

Friday night has thrown everything into doubt. Personally if it was me, I wouldn't risk either Bitton or Ajer in there for either of these two games, I would rest both of them and play Tierney at CB.

Don't get that logic at all!? These two legs are amongst our most important two games all season. If we progressed and both got injured id say it was worth it for the financial gain.

I agree to an extent I wouldn't play either, either..

Three at the back for me.. Sinclair and Forrest as wingbacks, with Hayes coming on later..

    Gordon
    Lustig Simunovic KT
    Brown
    Forrest Ntcham Armstrong Sinclair
    Rogic
    Griffiths

That could work. It's a calculated risk going three at the back, but playing the percentage game it may be a lower risk than going with either Ajer or Bitton, neither of which fills me with overflowing confidence.

Ajer for me, although Bitton is the more experienced player Ajer is more of a natural centre half. And Bitton was a huge bombscare at CB against partick we just can't have that against Astana

Brown could sit and drop into the back line when need be, it also gives us loads of width which could be the key. Griffiths movement and Rogic making late runs it could work..

    Also KTs shooting..:smoke:

You are convincing me. Especially at home. But I think we would have to change it again away.

I prefer this idea to Bitton or Ajer but would undoubtedly play McGregor over Armstrong

Lustig at CB, Ralston or Gamboa at RB

I read your post as saying you wouldn't risk either ajer or Bitton in these games against Astana. But who else would we put there? It's riskier putting someone else in there
