Celtic's Champions League season 17/18

If both games kick of at 19:45 our time then if affects them most - the game at parkhead is like them playing at 00.45 in the morning. When we play there its equivalent to 2.45pm here. Happy Days.

 

Long haul trip again. Need at least to be 2 clear going into the 2nd leg I think. Tough, but we should do it.

 

Yeah, I remember that well. Fairly sure there was nothing they could do about it though because of the rule. It would work out well if we could miss a weekend game anyway, literally just catch the same flight as Astana back from Glasgow!

Failing that, even playing a reserve team in the league fixture wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm sure most fans would understand.

With our board!? Tight * wouldn't even reimburse someone their bus ticket from Glasgow City Centre to Parkhead!

 

Astana should really be in the Asian Champions League. Kazakhstan is Asia, simply put. But I guess we avoided Rijeka, which is good.

 

And that was when Armstrong was really * bad and when McGregor wasn't half the player he is now.

 

I personally thought Rijeka or Hapeel would have been worse ties. We scraped through against Hapoel. We should have been far more comfortable against Astana than what we were.

I have a cunning plan.....4-0 win at home. Just send pistol pete out on his own with a suitcase full of rockets, a broad black brimmer and sun shades on his own. Take the 3-0 defeat form UEFA due to not turning up and unruly Chief Exec behaviour and onwards we Progress Niedercorn! Discuss!!

 

Don't mind the home tie first tbh hopefully we put it to bed with a comfortable 3-0 win .

Id feel the same if it wasnt for the fact we now have those 2 tough games behind us, i think they will stand us in good stead for this

 

Put in a decent shift that night. I think he would have turned it around under brendan.

 

Yeah and we have a couple more games before the 1st leg to so we should be well up to speed.

I think being at home first could work in our favour. Hopefully come flying out the traps and take a decent advantage over there with us.

Will be a very tough fixture I think, but we have to be confident.
